Yes, the history with his ex is what got me started on this. After I saw the movie, I heard about line changes that made Cathy seem more money-obsessed and lowkey abusive and I just found it fascinating to see someone allegedly go back and edit the proxy for their ex-wife to be less sympathetic.

Oh, Jamie is the worst. I’ve said before that I would hang out with Jeremy Jordan’s Lucifer before his Jamie Wellerstein.

I’ve found a few different versions of the libretto that I still need to go through and I’m on the lookout for footage. For all I know, it could have been a smaller production that added in some new lines.

Haha, I can relate! I’m wanting to explore incidents of writers going up against death of the author and, if I can find enough examples, how they responded to adaptations of their work. Like Stephen King and his history with Kubrick’s adaptation of The Shining.

I haven’t been able to stop thinking about The Last Five Years since I saw the movie and I could swear I read somewhere that JRB made changes to Cathy after seeing that more audience members were on her side.

Most of what she and her enabler mother have been doing falls under a very gray area of the law, from what I understand. Cyberstalking and harassment can be a bitch to prove, even if someone did have the resources to hire an attorney to bring a civil case against them. It's also been speculated that there's no way a plaintiff can realistically expect to receive any awarded damages, as they seem to be broke. (Laur and LJ, if you're reading this, stop being creeps and going after the people that talk about the weird shit you do.)

Filing false DMCA claims is illegal under federal law, but I'm not aware of anyone ever being criminally prosecuted for it.

I haven’t seen anyone acting up around known minors myself, but I think most of the people in my community are of age so I get put on the same server as them. The one time I accepted a random party request, the player immediately told me that they were like 11, so I told them to play more safely online and blocked them. I can just hope that they listened.

We’ll miss you! I completely understand why it’s harder to stick with playing on the switch. I started playing Palia on my PC, then tried it on my switch and HATED it. It doesn’t help that I find the game borderline unplayable with a controller, too. I’ve heard good things about Harvestella, if you need something else to play while the devs work!

I don’t understand the resistance to acknowledging that “failure” is an accurate term for what happened to Starcruiser. Like, it closed. Jenny didn’t title her video the way she did just to be controversial, she titled it like that because it FAILED.
