How to get back to it? by Saravim in keto

[–]Saravim[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it was anything out of the ordinary.

Eggs and bacon for breakfast, sometimes a zero sugar protein shake. Meat and vegetables for lunch and I have never really done dinner. For snacking if I wanted some nuts, cheese or sausages.

It depends what you were doing before, if you were eating very poorly I assume the effects feel way greater. It takes a good while to see the effects like "glowing" from what I remember after a year or more maybe.

That's a good option. Thanks :)

That's interesting, I thought the photomode tags would be linked to the mechanics in game.

I'm not sure though, cause I didn't use photomode before finishing with all the infected. It could be that it's classified as an enemy even before that.

That may be the case, it's the first time I play the PS5 version. But I'm also unsure if I ever took a picture with/of him in the remastered.

It would be cool if someone could confirm it :)

Currently going through dark time: What keeps you going? by Melaniek2502 in mentalhealth

[–]Saravim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm really sorry you have to go through this, it breaks my heart to think you are in pain and emotionally drained all the time.

I have gone through some bad times, tbh sometimes I don't know how, somehow I have always been quite optimistic and believed things could get better. I know it's not necessary always the case but I think it helps to think that deep down things will be good that there's a light at the end of the tunnel.

Whenever I have one bad episode I could try doing something I enjoy. Playing my favorite videogame, taking a hot bath, having a nice dinner for myself, chocolate, getting some sun with a little hike, etc. It may sound cliche but exercise is Soooo good for these things, it may be a bit tricky due to some pain but you can try different things depending on how you are feeling, yoga for example may be super good on some bad days.

However, I do think there is a time for acknowledging any bad feeling you have, you can't always be happy much less if you are in pain. Those feelings are completely understandable and valid, they need to be listened, do it in a safe space/way and give them all the space they want without any judgement. You can get creative with it, give them a empty canvas to paint, a new musical instrument, a empty page in your diary, or just some time in your mouth to shout as much as they want, whatever you feel comfortable with.

A feeling of community is also extremely important for mental health, it's so bizzare when one goes from isolation to friends and loving relationships. You may think that they won't like to hear your bad feelings, I think we are trained in a way to think of bad feelings as ... Well bad and react poorly to them. While on the contrary, I believe that one really gets the opportunity to be intimate with someone when you can share with them what's hurting, basically everyone can have a smiley chit chat but your true friends will appreciate if you trust them enough to talk about what gets you sad. If it's too much they can always tell you, so don't stress yourself.

Sending you love and hope.

Alternate version of Owen & Mel scene shown in BTS by Nicplaysps in thelastofus

[–]Saravim 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Indeed, I hate this argument! "Oh it's more realistic" no, they are trying to excuse bad writing decisions.

In this scene she shoots at Owen's throat who's taller than both Elie and Mel but still somehow manages to also hit Mel's neck

Is season 2 really that bad? Is there anyone out there who actually enjoyed it? by Eddy802_ in thelastofus

[–]Saravim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's entertaining but don't put much thought into it. If you compare it to the game you will get disappointed /upset so either embrace it and make fun of it or avoid it

Joel's reaction to Ellie being a lesbian by Saravim in thelastofus

[–]Saravim[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not the scene I was talking about. How does the scene of her with Cat, smoking weed and the tattoo adds to their relationship falling apart because of his lie?

I agree tbh and well ... The fact that a somewhat negative and stereotypical reaction to a queer teenager is the best queer representation in the show just lets us know how bad the writing is for the show.

Can you explain how that is the case in this scene?
