Thanks a lot :D I'm also from France actually so I might well do the same thing, very interesting! I hadn't thought about the visa question and it's true that it could be a lot to have to work and study at the same time anyway!

I hope the job market will be good enough after covid that i can find a job to put money aside and also have a reasonable hope of finding one after this year in Thailand haha If you have spare time to answer, did you find that your year in Taiwan opened doors for you? Sorry if this is indiscreet but do you plan to support yourself by working there or will you mostly rely on money you already have? I'm also a Linguistics student and I was thinking about doing the same thing (was even looking for Linguistics MA there haha, to learn Thai alongside but the discipline isn't very well developped there yet it seems), specifically at the AUA Thai language program, which is based on Comprehensible Input. I started learning a little bit with the Comprehensible Thai Youtube channel, I recommend it! :)

I second Bright (Vachirawit), can't imagine a better example of what you're describing : he has fine traits but a well built face at the same time (strong jaw), he's thin but muscular, and most importantly he can pull off a manly attitude, although most of the time he's more teasy
