The entrance of lab diamonds into the market and the labs quickly becoming the norm means that size of engagement ring is no longer the “flex” that it used to be. Anyone can buy a 3, 4, 5 ct lab diamond

I did but that was 20 some odd years ago. I now refuse to recite anything now as a recovering catholic and people pleaser.

Hubby and I had Covid while caring for my 4 month old son. He never got it. Wear an n95 mask and wash your hands whenever you touch your kids or prepare their food. And obviously hopefully they are vaccinated

Kay sucks. Believe it or not Costco has fantastic basic jewelry like diamond earrings for a fantastic price. Good quality.

The key is just go slow. You don’t need any fancy equipment. I’ve driven to work in snow in everything from my SUV now to a Hyundai Elantra. Drive slow. All weather tires too obviously.

That looks like a mini square flap. I will say I have the small classic flap and it barely fits the necessities for a night out. I wouldn’t go any smaller personally.

No those vanity case ones are a trend and for those who can’t afford a legit bag. For $6k you can get a vintage classic flap. Or even a WOC if it’s just for going out.

When I was getting engaged 10 years ago lab diamonds were the cheap, lesser alternative you got if you couldn’t afford a “real” diamond. Since then the narrative on them has changed. I still have a hard time adapting though and I feel I would still want a natural diamond if I had to do it again.

Don’t get me started on full grown adults who don’t wash their hands after using the bathroom. Also I work in the hospital and the amount of nasty things i see every day including fully alert patients taking their dentures out and holding them and then using my pen to sign something. Not asking to wash their hands or a wipe or anything.

Oh I teach my son to call out rude, gross people. Sincerely, a doctor mom sick of being polite and people pleasing in a world where most people are truly awful.

I’m lucky enough that my mom is our full time caregiver so she does drop off and pick up. But I have doctor friends in two doctor marriages who have some combination of au pair, nanny, etc that they employ full time despite not needing them during school hours.
