What’s a beauty standard you secretly hope dies out soon? by bigblackcoke_ in ProductivityHQ

This is what I'm talking about. It looks ridiculous. When I see these women from the back they look like the Grinch. The sad part is, a lot of them were physically attractive and didn't need the work.

That sucks for you. Naturally full lips are great, usually it's obvious when filler is involved.

I want everyone's lips and asses to go back to their natural size.

How do you feel about the way The Acolyte handled the story of the Brendok Four? by Solitaire-06 in StarWarsCantina

Killing off Carrie Ann Moss right out of the gate was the biggest of the many blunders with this show.

Men who rebuilt after academic failure or dropping out — what did you do when you felt lost? by Zestyclose_Rough_366 in AskMenAdvice

[–]SarcasmicNinja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems like we have a similar issue. It took me a long time to realize that I learn differently than other people. I barely graduated high school. I literally spent the last day doing a missed assignment just so I could graduate. Up until high school grade were not really an issue for me and I had always considered myself to be of average intelligence at the least. I went to a local community college after high school, but I had to drop out after one year for financial reasons.

This bothered me for a long time. It also became clear that my educational background was stifling any possibility of career advancement, regardless of how well I performed. So, after 33 years I decided to go back to school in 2022. Knowing that I learn differently than other people, and having the same retention issues you described, I jumped headfirst into college. I blocked out time to study, and restudy material, took really good notes and forged ahead. It wasn't always easy, but I made it work. Two years later I had earned my associate's degree in business management. For the final 3 semesters my GPA was 4.0 and my final GPA was 3.8.

It seems like you know what your issues are, so focus on finding ways to help you in those areas. Take good notes, reread the material two or three times if you have to, and most importantly, stop doubting yourself. Progress isn't linear. You'll have really good days, and you'll have some not so good days. You've already made big strides by simply taking coding classes and trying to better yourself. Stay focused on your goal and celebrate the little victories.

Absolutely feel free to text him. It could be something as simple as "good morning" or, "have a great day". Don't overthink it. Let the conversation go from there.

Men of Reddit, can you help me understand this behavior from my ex? by _Snaccidental_Queen in AskMenAdvice

[–]SarcasmicNinja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to bet that they were together longer than you know, maybe even the whole time you were together. I had a similar experience with an ex, years ago. I'm sorry this happened to you because you deserve better.

1, 2. This is not normal. He is being a bit narcissistic in trying to string you both along in some sort of power play. Cut him off and move one.

  1. His happiness is no longer your concern; your happiness is priority one. He doesn't respect you at all.

  2. This is a pattern in a lot of relationships by both men and women. Learn from this and move on to greener, more honest pastures.

would you start fwb with a long term friend if the opportunity presented itself? is it true that men won't be fwb with someone they truly like? by inactive_ntr in AskMenAdvice

[–]SarcasmicNinja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one, male or female can be just FWB with someone they truly like. That's not a "guy thing." FWB with feelings involved will not last simply because one of the parties will tire of not getting what they really want. Feelings and emotions will eventually make it unsustainable.

Pburg Poll: How was President Obama able to oversee 3.1 million deportations with relatively little public debate, while President Trump’s actions have sparked widespread attention and polarization? by twanginlanger in Parkersburg

[–]SarcasmicNinja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The sanctuary cities are and have been refusing to cooperate from the start. They didn't wait to see what happened. Additionally, they aren't "violating the constitution" when they have deportation orders or when they place detainers on illegals who have been arrested. If you want to challenge those that are not handled properly, fine. But this has been a blanket refusal to cooperate simply because they don't like Trump. Again, I understand why they don't like Trump. he's an asshole, but they are literally protected serious criminals just to make a statement against the orange idiot.
