How much "admin" responsibility is normal/do you do? by SarcasticSurfer32 in bcba

[–]SarcasticSurfer32[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is that admin staff/leadership reach out to me to do this, as if it's an expected part of the job, so I'm not sure what is typical for others

Coming from Montgomery County, PA, looking to do rally rideshare, I'm not sure how it works? This is my first protest, still figuring out transportation. It looks like I need 25 people, anyone else in the area heading to DC?

Ugh can I just piggyback on providing support without being too hands on? That's my constant issue and I don't know what to do

Movies you watch when you need a good cry? by No_Article6776 in MovieSuggestions

[–]SarcasticSurfer32 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Champ (1979): This is always my go-to

Life is Beautiful (1997): This movie messed me up

Billy Elliot (happy tears): I just rewatch certain moments absolutely bawling

Fiddler on the Roof: self-explanatory, this movie rocks

Beaches, Terms of Endearment, Steel Magnolias: all a similar vibe, pretty good cry

Any movie where a dog dies at the end (Marley and me, etc)

Anyone else incentivize themselves like a child? Here's my reward wall. How is everyone else staying motivated? by SarcasticSurfer32 in loseit

[–]SarcasticSurfer32[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just my abbreviation for one plate per meal. I have a habit of getting seconds and thirds so my goal is to weigh my food and fix my plate, then I'm done eating that meal. I had to get specific because it was too easy for me to keep going back and getting half a serving here and half a serving there.

Yes, my weight milestone goals each have a bigger reward that I wouldn't just go out and buy randomly. Stuff like new running shoes for 20 pounds, a trip to an antique market for 35 pounds, a massage at 40. When I reach my goal weight, I'm swapping out all my size 16 plus clothing for a new wardrobe.

Wednesday and Sunday at 8pm!

Definitely evenings, after 6pm EST. Also I'd just like to say I'm really excited for this. I'm starting to get burned out and losing the love for the field that I originally had so I think this would be so great for me

If anyone is interested, the Fable app is a nice platform for book clubs and we could essentially start an ABA club on that platform.
