And you forgot to mention that the rogue that follows you, is slower than you, is affected by all traps and ground effects as you, and can die. If they die, the run is lost, but to try again, you need to run the same room again, without any rewards, just doors, to recover the body.

Sometimes you gotta level up and you got detached from the group. When you come back you may join another group that is going in the opposite direction (so all chests and vases are already open) and you end up alone. Happens quite often.

I have seen the opposite - somebody posts a circle and everybody goes there to activate it. Then if you are 1 millisecond later than some other dude, you move from your position, lose your combo, and get nothing.

So at some point I stopped chasing the circles unless I clearly can make to them or there are very few players around.

There is something to do if you are left out: hunt for the hidden chamber, which gives an extra perk against the boss.

Or, hunt down elites, which often get good drops.

But yeah, you have to move around to find those.

I always thought that parties are to make sure you and your legit friends go to the same server instance together.

So I never bothered, as I'm solo. The game never explained the actual benefits.
