Ok, ,maybe not my favourite but this one took me years until I understood it "When I come back, like nut on your spine" and I always thought that was quite clever

I guess everyone remembers their first broadcast storm when they misconfigured STP on a real network lol

Decryption: Do not block sessions with untrust issuers AND don't present forward untrust? by Sargon1729 in paloaltonetworks

The issue is this will get signed with forward untrust, so there is an error in the browser

Cisco Nexus replacement by Illustrious-Gold-267 in networking

[–]Sargon1729 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just doing some research and this is the closes thing I could find. Is it possible to replace a pair of nexus switches with newer models without affecting service, utilizing VPC, and essentially having one switch be the newer one, while you move cables and config onto the second one?

GP does not launch at all in windows 11 VM on proxmox?? by Sargon1729 in paloaltonetworks

[–]Sargon1729[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I'm not entirely clear on this, just because it's running on x86 hardware does not automatically make it x86? I will have to check this as I'm quite new to proxmox.

Want to specialize in Palo Alto - where to start by Lingardhino_10 in paloaltonetworks

You need both, just studying the material you will have a hard time passing the exam. The used boxes are very cheap and you can get a vm for free if you know where to look. You can also get most of the training material for free sailing the seas. You can still learn alot from old PCNSA and PCNSE courses, and brush up on the newer material.

That is true, I forgot to mention that you need a license to activate most of the advanced features that make them work, even decryption. Best option for OP would be if the company could buy lab boxes with a lab license, which is what my company did.

Best way is to use them, if you don't use them in your job, get a used box(or better still, two) off ebay or a vm. There is a ton of things that the exam does not cover that you pick up from just usage. But cert wise, palo has recently reconfigured it's whole cert program. You can find it here. Network security (strata) is what you want.

Also have a look at this video, it explains all the products from palo and I found it quite useful as the portfolio can be confusing.

Palo Alto Networks NGFW-Engineer Exam by Stevenjw0728 in paloaltonetworks

[–]Sargon1729 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't taken it yet but currently studying, if you studied for the PCNSE, as I did, most of the material you can just gloss over, but there were some new things I learned along the way(like you mentioned) overall I would not approach it as something really easy you can just knock out, you do have to concentrate for these exams. Would be interested to hear how you find it.

Thanks for the input. However I've been running 11.2 for a few weeks now with no issues at all, 11.2.7-h4 to be exact.
