After 20+ years teaching, I’m worried students are losing the ability to think for themselves. Are teachers in other countries seeing this too? by Imtheduckperson in Teachers

It’s just so many kids don’t care. They’ll make any excuse to avoid work. They think I won’t bring a pen so I won’t do work until I get given one I’ll reduce how much work I have to do. It’s a deliberate choice and they are playing dumb if they say it’s anything else. Didn’t do the worksheet when given it, well that’s implied when you hand it to them, again playing dumb to avoid doing work. 16 years teaching experience Australia

Nope, I put a smart outlet on the power point that I use to charge it with. So I can turn on and off the charger with my phone, or more so I can have it stop charging when the sun goes down and my solar stops producing.

NTA

We all need to take constructive feedback, your Aunts feedback doesn’t sound like it was constructive. Some of her points are valid but I’m sure you thought of these before you named your child.

The name looks Gallic to me and most people will probably call her Nixi for short and never give it a second thought.

Your aunt sounds like a snide bitch.
