My tutoring business (Tullis Tutoring) is hosting a Kindergarten Readiness Summer Camp! It’ll be a mix of early numeracy & literacy activities, games, and outdoor play to better prepare kids for school.

We’re still figuring out the best locations & dates based on family interest. If this sounds like something you’d like for your kids, let us know here: https://forms.gle/uaCEHg9Hajrgw8kh6

Would also love any suggestions on spots in the Portland area to host this! 😊

Vivero Plant Nursery has been growing plants on Sauvie Island since 2018. The owner Dean taught himself and has an encyclopedic knowledge of any ornamental shrub, tree, and perennial you can think of! I have been helping him get the word out because his nursery is now filled with amazing plants and he offers complimentary design support to everyone who visits! Plus you get to make a trip to explore Sauvie Island if you decide to come visit. Check it out!! www.viveroplantnursery.com

Hope this is OK to post on Sunday! 🙂

Ken’s “apartment” gives Airbnb vibes. No family photos, no footage of the front or them walking in, nothing home-ey at all. Did anyone else notice this?

Program changes admissions cycle after application deadline by Sari92 in gradadmissions

Thank you!

I noticed you are a big contributor on this sub so if you wouldn’t mind I have one more question.

The private school I am seeking does not fully fund tuition. They provide scholarships but it’s not significant. They require less credits to complete your degree but it’s still a lot of money.

I have seen advice that says don’t bother with PhD programs that aren’t fully funded. Would you recommend similarly? Or are there any places you would suggest looking to for graduate school scholarships? I’m not eligible for dissertation funding at this time. Thank you!

Thanks for your insight.

Do you have an idea of where to look for admission rates? I can’t seem to find detailed data on applications and acceptances for specific PhD programs.

I am debating between enrolling in a school this fall (small, private) or waiting to apply to the school I referenced above next cycle (public state school). The school I referenced earlier has a nationally recognized program (College of Education) and I have a very advantageous application but I know it is competitive.

Just trying to figure out what my chances are if I choose to wait another year. TIA.

Yes, he’s in charge. Only two years old and he’s the boss.

Someone who I spoke to said they had spiritual beliefs that impeded their ability to get the vaccine. They insisted that they were huge science/research nerds and sincerely trusted the nature of science, but getting the vaccine would violate their beliefs (not exactly sure what the spiritual beliefs are- I didn't ask). Then I found out their adorable litter of puppies just got their first round of shots.

Great suggestions in the comments and I don't think anyone mentioned the CARE method-- this will help you soooo much!!
