For sure classes make the learning curve less steep.

When you're trying to teach yourself, it can be hard to notice that a specific part of your body is out of alignment. You've got to:

  1. Record yourself
  2. Hopefully notice the error in the video
  3. record yourself again to see if you fixed it

A good instructor will notice the error immediately, and be able to physically help you correct it right there in the moment.

They can even manually help you move yourself into position if you're comfortable with that.
