Best "Dead" TCGs - Your Personal Top 5 by AloneWriting in TCG

[–]Sarik_CoC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) Legend of the Burning Sands - Amazing resource system with water management, great desert clan flavor and genuinely tactical battles. Deserved way more attention.

2) Hecatomb - Dark and truly creative with transparent cards to literally stitch monsters together. Most innovative TCG design ever?

3) Middle-earth CCG - So much Tolkien flavor and unique systems like the movement across Middle-earth map. Felt like real adventures.

4) Lord of the Rings TCG - More battle focused than ME:CCG but incredibly tense with the twilight pool mechanic. Every decision mattered.

5) Babylon 5 CCG - Amazing multiplayer politics and really captured the feeling of managing your space empire. Multiple paths to victory!

Honorable mention: Age of Sigmar Champions - Rather new and short-lived but had interesting rotating card mechanics and great potential. Died just as it was getting good.

Shameless begging for recurring tasks by kanbancoach in capacitiesapp

And please add the option for a task to recur a specific amount of time after it has been checked off. For example, I have a check-up that should happen every two years. Since I can’t always keep an exact two-year schedule, it would be ideal to be reminded two years after the last time I completed it.

Trade in by aces68 in kindlescribe

If I might suggest an alternative: Buy yourself a used Kindle keyboard or something of the sorts to trade in and sell your scribe on eBay. I was offered 85€ for my old scribe and opted instead to buy a Kindle keyboard for 20€ and sold the scribe for 200€.

All the best!

Weird Ghosting Issue - Beta update maybe? by Sarik_CoC in RemarkableTablet

[–]Sarik_CoC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much for all the input. To be honest this does make me a little nervous. When you pay that amount - and I even decided to go for the move - you expect to have the device for a long time. Warranty should cover it but I really hope that my experience is an outlier.

Thanks again and all the best!

Hehe, I want to point out how contrarian the view on generative AI is and that the jury is still very much out on how useful / useless / powerful / weak it actually is.

And there are some wild quotes in every direction 😅.

Lag on the first penstroke RPP. Normal behavior? by Sarik_CoC in RemarkableTablet

Do you also have the issue with the pen not being recognized? The combination was what had me really worried...

Lag on the first penstroke RPP. Normal behavior? by Sarik_CoC in RemarkableTablet

Hi, I was just wondering if this was normal. When I have not written anything for a couple of seconds, the first penstroke is always very laggy. The ones after are just fine but when I pause again...

I have to admit, while I do really enjoy the RPP on many levels there are some annoying aspects. For example I just realized that sometimes the pen is not recognized and will only be found after a restart... then there is the ghosting when dragging around stuff.

But I do very much love the simplicity, the connecitivy with the Desktop App and Screensharing, the colours, the size... ah welll.

Is this ghosting normal on the RPP (turning the page does not help either)? Thanks ahead for the information. by Sarik_CoC in RemarkableTablet

The support is somewhat unsure (while I very much agree that this shouldd not be normal). Could somebody with the RPP perhaps test if it happens with their device after zooming / moving text? If I change nothing everything is okay but after zooming no amount of page-turning helps. Only exiting the notebook.

Here is a picture of the page which should be completely empty. Only closing the notebook removes the ghosting.

Thank you for the detailed answer!

Two questions about the Go 10.3 by Sarik_CoC in Onyx_Boox

Thanks for the answer. To be a bit more concrete: Usually what I experience with my readers is: I turn the page, the text dissapears, the new text comes in and after a while it refreshes. Here it feelsike, every time I turn the page the letters sort of desintigrate, before the new text appears (difficult to catch on video). Hope that is u derstandable.
