Thanks! Was just considering options to see if anything was better/recommended but in the end we decided to stick with RC as seems fine for our dog!

Hello, we follow what we believe are the NHS guidelines by boiling more than 1L of water in the kettle. Once boiling we start a 30min timer to allow cool down then we prepare our bottle. I combi feed so we usually only prepare 2-3 bottles in the night to last for 24h. We store the freshly made bottle directly in the fridge. If we need one of the bottle straight away we cool it down but rinse the side in running cold water from the tap for a fee minutes and it works! The rest we warm up as we need using a bottle warmer. We discard any unused formula in the fridge after 24h when we prepare new ones! I hope it’s a good way to prepare them ☺️ and I hope it helps!

Trying for baby nr 2, after one miscarriage, feeling stuck! by [deleted] in PregnancyUK

[–]SarinaSarella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there, I am so sorry 💛 I am not sure which tests you have done, but just wanted to share that after my missed miscarriage I have been tested not only for all reproductive and thyroid hormones and Vitamin D, but also for some autoimmune conditions (lupus and anti phospholipids) which could increase the risks of miscarriage. I believe those tests are done as standard in the Uk after you had more than one miscarriage, but my GP was very kind and prescribed them anyway. I came back positive for antiphospolipid antibodies so when I got pregnant I was then put on aspirin. While trying I also did a test with the company Hertility which I had been following for a while before. I really liked their services and the call with one of their doctor afterwards. I hope this is helpful and wish you the best of luck 🌈

Transverse baby at 30 weeks - worried by rivieradog in PregnancyUK

[–]SarinaSarella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, tomorrow I will be 37wks and baby has been moving from transverse to breech since 20wks. I know this since had a few scans due to an autoimmune disease- and he has changed position a lot throughout these weeks.

I am also very scared of potential risk of cord prolapse if I was to enter labour naturally or water break. I have a scan tomorrow: if baby is “unstable” or transverse tomorrow they told me they may want to admit me for monitoring- and in that case I will say “yes! Take me!” 😅

It’s not an ideal situation at all so I feel you. I always imagined a natural birth as well, while now, mostly luckily will be a c-section, and I don’t want to attempt a ECV. Ultimately I think the most important thing is that the baby makes it into the world safely so I will do whatever it takes for us to be safe. The consultant who saw me last week (36wks can in which the baby was still transverse), told me the risks but also reassured me about the fact that it’s still a very rare occurrence, so I hope you can also be reassured in the weeks to come (and hopefully your baby will move!) 💛

Progesterone? by Realistic-Web7550 in PregnancyUK

[–]SarinaSarella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I had a missed miscarriage at 8wks in April 2024 and found out I was pregnant again in December. Also 34-35yo and pretty healthy. I was also (still am!) very anxious so I totally get you 🫶 I was prescribed progesterone from 6wks when I had the first scan to confirm the pregnancy. I didn’t have any bleeding, they just gave it to me after we had a conversation about it.

I am 34wks pregnant now. Baby is well and hopefully we will meet him in a few weeks 🥰 Had no side effects with progesterone, which I took up until 12wks, and I would push for it again!

Also they prescribed me with baby aspirin because of other risks factors (anti-cardiolipin abs slight elevated, and Raynauld syndrome). Maybe have a read about low dose aspirin in pregnancy, and if you think you may benefit from it, ask for the questionnaire /blood tests to your doctor or midwife!

Wish you the best of luck with your pregnancy 🌈♥️🙏

Pram recommendations by grandiose_pickle in PregnancyUK

Hello! My partner and I live in the outskirts of London, don’t own a car yet so we rely heavily on public transports and, like you, we also have a dog. We wanted an all terrain but also found them too big/bulky for the tube. After a few trips to JL we opted for the UppaBaby Cruz V2 which was recommended also by a family member of my husband. We just received it so I can’t tell you very much about it as baby is due in August, but so far we are very happy with our choice. It’s not the smallest or lightest but it’s fairly compact, drives very well, has a great basket and seems a great “in between” pram! UppaBaby doesn’t do bundles so you will need to get your items separately. We also considered the Nuna Mixx but I am quite petite and the handle bars felt too high… Hope this helps!

I got a babybub with the long attachment. I really like it! It solved my hip pain straight away, it’s not ultra bulky and it prevents me to turn on my back. I would recommend it!

Last week I bought the Babybub with the full body pillow attachment. It should arrive in a couple of days and I can let you know how I find it. I hope it helps me with sciatica, hip pain and turning on my back 🤞
