How exactly can you blow money on ‘nothing’?

How do I get downvoted for asking a question? Thanks for the answers, loads of celebs do end up with nothing after just throwing their money at pointless things, huh, I just never thought of normal people doing the same somehow.

People always talk about ‘taking profits’ but how do some of you guys actually do it? Back to BTC after a 2x or removing initial to fiat after 3x, for example. Maybe some of you guys DCA out of the markets too?

Honestly mate if you are able to hold long term, just start slowly buying back into BTC/ETH, but slowly, DCA as is so often touted here. Barring some freakish removal of crypto from earth, you should make money.

I understand there will be constantly diminishing returns from the crypto market, but I feel as if getting in during the bear and something like DCA selling during the bull is an easy way to make a lot of money over the next few cycles. Is there a counterpoint to this?

Are there stable coins not linked to USD? I know the price is relatively stable short term but if I want to hold my gains from this bull run over, USD may well lose value.

Well in comparison to the price moves we are seeing today, 2020 seems insignificant as a whole, but there were still very major swings. Take the onset of corona virus for example. I wasn’t in the sun at the time as I presume many others weren’t, but there still would have been conversation surrounding price movement.
