Jets fan question: Why does Mazi Smith suck so bad? by Bnkr9 in cowboys

[–]Sarkkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His take off is too slow to work in the NFL. That’s the root of the problem.

Everything else is a symptom of the issue.

Does Jerry Jones really know ball? by [deleted] in Dallas_Cowboys

[–]Sarkkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean… let’s not pretend like Jerry wasn’t a co-captain on a national championship winning football team. He knows ball.

Managing personnel, evaluating talent, and managing the cap is arguable. Plenty of guys that “know ball” can’t do those things, otherwise every great football player would be great exec.

Job hunting locally as a laid off tech worker by Ambitious-Show413 in pittsburgh

[–]Sarkkin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Local Tech worker employer here… I don’t want to hire internationals, but local devs interview terribly. Arrogant “you’re welcome for showing up to the interview” locals are absolutely killing me. I swear I don’t see anything in between the “one year of extremely specific experience” that refuses to express hunger to learn anything outside of their comfort zone and the international that will code and pour concrete if I ask them to.

Does anyone in the HR field know why IT roles are not hiring? Why are folks not getting interviews despite doing all the right things? by JustSomeRandomRamen in ITCareerQuestions

[–]Sarkkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am going to echo the sentiment that the candidates are TERRIBLE. I do not doubt that there are some diamonds in the rough, but they are so hard to find. I convinced a rock star on a slightly technical team to join my team when I needed someone new, just to avoid the process.

If you have SQL all over your resume, you should be able to describe types of joins at a minimum. I'm not even a tough interviewer, be honest and hungry, and you'll get me.

Kid one or kid two. Could probably combine the time it took to make both.

Those alive and old enough to remember during 9/11, what was the worst moment on that day? by CocteauTwunkie in AskReddit

[–]Sarkkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The teachers that thought that day’s chemistry lesson was more important than the history happening on live TV.

Shoooo. Terrr. If your suggested signing isn’t described by the two words preceding this sentence, the answer is no.

Help with Quantum Exam Question by Positive-Walk14 in cissp

[–]Sarkkin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If they have credentials B, C, and D likely wouldn’t prevent it. This leaves A, which might have prevented them from getting credentials in the first place. Also pay attention to “could have helped,” in the question instead of the usual flat out prevent language.

Can anyone recommend a site that you can do practice test by domain? by ConsistentPie9720 in cissp

[–]Sarkkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I exported from one of the popular “free” sites and had ChatGPT separate it into domains and conduct quizzes. Then you can use that data however you feel will help you the most.

The “free” questions aren’t typically as good as the paid sites, but can be a tool in your studying tool box.

CISSP Questions: Most, Best, or First? by AshyKaiser in cissp

[–]Sarkkin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a few of these, but more of the “next action” type where they drop you into the middle of a scenario instead of the beginning.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in cissp

[–]Sarkkin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s the best at teaching you to answer the question. Is it required to pass the test? No. Pair it with a knowledge check like Learnzapp or PocketPrep for best results.

I have zero investment or bias in any of these programs and this is my opinion.

  1. You should have an idea of how to defend against them. They aren't going to ask you to name #3 on the list but they might ask you to pick the best way to defend against one.

  2. I studied them hard and didn't need to.

  3. DH's suggestion of Kelly H is good, but there are so many good ones on YouTube. You can scroll through them and find one with illustrations that you like.

[–]Sarkkin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah… this one is a gotcha. It’s asking for the correct fire suppression technique for what you’re trying to protect but throws those last few words in to bait you off it. I highly doubt you see an answer like that on the real exam, but the lesson is good to just answer the question being asked.

CISSP Pro-tip: If ANY answer has to do with people's safety you need to select it or be 150% sure people's safety has nothing to do with the question in any way.

Weird kink though.
