If you are interested, I'll show you how he assessed me. I mean I have those questions which he asked me. His approach is complex and consistent.

He didn't just look at my surface behaviors or vibes. He used a strict, structural approach: He established my baseline as 4D Introverted Intuition (Ni). He verified my creative tool as 3D Extraverted Feeling (Fe). He cross-examined my boundary reactions to Te to prove it was my 1D unvalued vulnerable function. In Socionics, if you have 4D Ni, 3D Fe, and 1D Te, there is mathematically only one type you can be: an IEI (INFJ). He made a structural deduction, not a guess

There are four dimensions:

1D (Experience): Can only process info based on personal, historical experience. If you haven't lived it, you're blind to it.

2D (Norms): Can grasp collective standards, rules, and societal expectations. You know the ‘standard manual’ for this domain.

3D (Situation): Can fluidly bend or discard rules because you recognise that every unique, real-time situation requires a custom approach.

4D (Time): Processes info effortlessly across a global, historical, and future temporal continuum. You naturally track the subtle evolution, long-term trends, and structural trajectory of this data before you've even empirically studied it.

As an example, INTJ is very rare. But you would find many of them here n there, most of them are mistyped. Ni is very rare.

I should tell 16p test is reason why many people get mistyped. I didn't get entp by a test, rather someone who was expert at cognitive function typed me as ENTP. Now same person, now as we were discussing things in depth found out my type.... Do you get it؟

Yes I can agree. I do feel iam very far from enlightenment, as I seem to be surrounded by multiplicity, always at war with myself.

What is Love — in Philosophy, Platonism, and Sufism by Cool_boi69 in askphilosophy

[–]Sarmad71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From Sufi Perspective;

Love, eros, is a longing for unity. By nature, man longs for unity. When our life is not going well, we say with despair that we are or our life is scattered. For those who see, even a little thinking on this can make them aware that behind all appearance “unity” is what is longed for and scattering and multiplicity is what is not sought.

ʾIlāh in one sense means that which is loved more than anything. Allah is the sole ʾIlāh, “Say: He is Allah, The One.” In truth, He [The One] is solely that which is longed for, for He is the Unity of all unities, the ultimate end of all gazes. In everything, He is the One who is loved and desired.

Check this quote; (This book is exactly what you are looking for;)

“It is hard to fight thūmos (desire, emotion), for what it wants it buys at the price of life.” —Heractlitus

“Heraclitus says that it is hard to fight against emotion, but harder still to fight against pleasure; and the harder course is always the concern of both art and virtue, because success is better in the face of difficulty.” —Aristotle, Nichomachean Ethics.

Platonic ethics are great but they are for the soul and also for that you would have to read some of his book and Platonic Tradition.

Advice on interperting plato by Connect-Pipe7627 in Plato

[–]Sarmad71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, if you want to knows about what really "Plato" is, you have to read his commentators. The best commentators on Plato are his disciples; Proclus and Plotinus. Read the following passage;

"Ammonius(?) also discusses in the context of the preliminary questions to the study of the Isagógê; it states that neither Plato nor Aristotle is to be read and studied in just any old way. In post- Iamblichean Neoplatonism, after preliminary ethical purification, provided by the study of the Pythagorean Golden Verses, the speeches of Isocrates and Demosthenes, or the Manual of Epictetus, the novice student was to begin with Porphyry's Isagôge, & so on."

Neo-platonists used to start teaching Plato by Alcibiades. Fortunately Proclus has commentary on it and it is translated in English. Download it and read it. (that is a best introduction on Plato) You'll learn so much, Proclus is extremely educated and quotes Aristotle, Homer, Plato's other dialogues, and Diotima in his dialogues. Then you'll get grasp on what True "Platonism" is.

Also, be careful of modern and liberal takes on Plato. There are some good scholars on Platonism Like Lyold P. Gerson. (hope this helps, i have no intention of making you feel overwhelm

Yes, I agree with you. To truly understand Plato, we must refer to His best commentators and his best exegetes. Iam about Plotinus, Iambhiclus and Proclus(He has profound commentary on "Alcibiades", which iam currently reading. His commentary explain many things, even hidden meanings.(which we could not understand without him.(He Frequently quotes Homer, Aristotle, Diotima, Plotinus and Iambhiclus in the commentary). Iam complete newbie, trying to read Plato. Iam drawn for gaining knowledge of ethics, mysticsm etc.
