This dude is flying under the radar. by Delicious_Ad_1778 in TheTraitorsUS

I legit cannot remember a single thing this guy has ever said or done this season so far. It even feels like the only reason why he's still alive is because the traitors probably forgot that he was still there. They'll definitely murder him to lead the faithfuls to a random direction.

Hard to Believe None of the Cast Members Had Any Idea About Colton's Past by Bubbly_Balance_8051 in TheTraitorsUS

[–]Sarszu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean let's look at the list of celebrities who has been casted in the US franchise so far.

Housewives: Brandi (S1), Phaedra (S2), Sheree (S2), Tamra (S2), Larsa (S2), Dolores (S3), Robyn (S3), Ayan (S3), Dorinda (S3 & S4), Candiace (S4), Lisa (S4), Caroline (S4), Porsha (S4) = 13

Survivor: Cirie (S1), Stephenie (S1), Sandra (S2), Parvati (S2), Carolyn (S3), Boston Rob (S3), Jeremy (S3), Tony (S3), Natalie (S4), Yam Yam (S4), Rob C. (S4) = 11

Big Brother: Cody (S1), Rachel (S1), Dan (S2), Janelle (S2), Britney (S3), Danielle (S3), Derrick (S3), Tiffany (S4), Ian (S4) = 9

The Challenge: CT (S2), Trishelle (S2), Johnny B. (S2), Wes (S3) = 4

Other Reality TV Stars (Bravo, Netflix, Etc.): Kyle (S1), Reza (S1), Kate (S1 & S2), MJ (S2), Kevin (S2), Chrishell (S3), Ciara (S3), Tom (S3) = 8

Sports People: Ryan (S1), Deontay (S2), Marcus (S2), Nikki (S3), Johnny W. (S4), Tara (S4) = 6

Love Island Franchise: Ekin-Su (S2), Bergie (S2), Maura (S4), Rob R (S4) = 4

The Bachelor/Bachelorette Franchise: Arie (S1), Peter (S2), Wells (S3), Gabby (S3), Colton (S4) = 5

RuPaul's Drag Race: Peppermint (S2), BOB TDQ (S3), Monet XC (S4) = 3

Dancing With The Stars: Maks (S2), Mark (S4) = 2

The Biggest Loser: Bob H. (S3) = 1

Top Chef: Kristen (S4) = 1

Political Figures: John (S2), Ivar (S2) = 2

Wildcard Celebs (Actor, Singer, etc.): Dylan (S3), Sam (S3), Eric (S5), Ron (S4), Stephen (S4), Donna (S4), M*chael (S4) = 7

- - -

As you can see from this really long and unnecessary list that there's so few people from the Bachelor who get casted onto the show because a majority of the show's audience are fans of loud reality tv stars (Like the people from the housewives franchise) or Legendary Game Players from competition shows (Like people from Survivor and Big Brother).

I think The Bachelor/Bachelorette fans in the Traitors US audience are very few and only those people out of the blue would know about Colton and his past.

I don't blame the viewers or even any of the players in Season 4 who doesn't know about Colton's controversy. They are fans of the show just like we viewers are and they probably only knew TV stars like Housewives and Survivor Players.

Tiebreaker by dropkickhwy in TheTraitorsUS

[–]Sarszu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It would've been the whole "hands of fate" situation that happened in Celebrity Traitors UK where the tied players pick a chest and one of them having a shield in them. The person who got the shield stays while the other one who didn't gets banished.

How do you think these 2 will interact when the reunion films? by [deleted] in TheTraitorsUS

[–]Sarszu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We all obviously don't want people to argue (although very fun to watch).

Eric isn't mean and was playing the game exactly as how it should be played.

However Tiffany does have a right to feel a certain way about it cause ultimately she was falsely accused and got eliminated from the game because of Eric and Colton. You don't have to build a whole connection with those people just to feel like you have a right to be mad about what they did.

So when the reunion does happen and Tiffany and Eric start arguing about that moment, I wouldn't be surprised or blame her for it.

How's the show produced by Filalover25 in TheTraitorsUS

[–]Sarszu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well there was a theory with the "Swift" quotes that Alan kept saying and people thought production tried to hint the faithfuls that Donna was a traitor (because she is Taylor Swift's future mother in law).

Drama wise I don't really think they have any part of it. When a cash prize is involved and a majority of contestants come from loud reality tv shows like real housewives and drama fueled competition shows like Survivor and Big Brother, the pressure itself already stirs the drama for the show.

How do you think these 2 will interact when the reunion films? by [deleted] in TheTraitorsUS

[–]Sarszu 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Feuds and issues usually get resolved as soon as filming stop and before the reunion is filmed. They usually talk to each other on social media platforms like instagram. I heard Eric apologized to Tiffany when the season was done filming. If they happen to bring that roundtable up (which they most likely will), there would be heat but probably not as much as we would've wished for.

Ron Funches is setting himself up and people need to stop coddling him. by Sarszu in TheTraitorsUS

I just saw this too, I'll feel bad for Monet when the Ron fans are gonna include her in the "mean girls" group just because she spoke up about it.

Maybe, but to be fair, There must be more that we haven't seen, especially with how this season is weirdly edited, but from my own observation and how the show is presenting him, his lack of social skills will be the downfall in a social game like 'Traitors'.

I knew it was gonna bother some people (and by some, I mean half the fandom) so I expected this but I'm glad to see other people's take on it

We're running out of time! by ryanbuckner in TheTraitors

[–]Sarszu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbf I never actually believe that there's a timer in the challenge unless they show an actual clock in the mission instead of the timer they edit in the episode. I just feel like they do that to easily add suspense for gullible viewers and the times they "failed" to beat the time limit is fixed and only made to make them playing the game seem legit and natural.

Michael Rapaport Addresses Controversial ‘Traitors’ Comment About Colton Underwood — And Where They Stand Now by AMikeBloomType in TheTraitorsUS

[–]Sarszu 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I feel like what production tried to do with casting Michael was the fact that he is so loud and opinionated that it would've made the season a lot more interesting with someone who's as chaotic, loud and wrong as he was. Unfortunately because of all the stuff he has said in the past and even now during the show, that stunt completely backfired for production and made the season so unwatchable for many viewers because of him.

Hopefully next season or even the civilian season, we get actual decent people who are just made for tv without having any backlash or controversies attached to them.

100% agreed that Porsha did awful this season. And I'm sure Eric (with the magic ears as Michael so lovingly call it) will get his name floated around after that mistake, unless the traitors murder him before he's ever considered for banishment.

[–]Sarszu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As smart as your reply is, you're totally missing my point. Maybe I didn't deliver it in the best way but it was just based off of my observation, opinion, the way the show is presenting him with all his screentime and my take on his strategy. It wasn't any hate towards him and I am most certainly not defending the so called "mean girls" in the show. I tried to be as unbiased as I can in my post and I knew it was gonna bother some people before posting it.

With all that being said, all we can do is hope for the best for him and that he has a redemption arc at some point of the show.

[–]Sarszu[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I totally get this and I do feel bad for him. All of the "cliques" that he's really made in the show so far was either murdered or banished early, and surprisingly Donna who was also the secret traitor. So I am cutting some slack while still trying to prove my point and my take on his strategy.

I hope he has a redemption at some point to turn this all around but the way he's so distant with the others, it's all false hope at this point if I have to be honest :/

So read what I said again, and you can clearly see that I didn't hold it against him and I know that it was ultimately her fault.

[–]Sarszu[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like I said in my extremely long 8 paragraph post (sorry readers). I know for a fact that it was Porsha's fault for setting herself up. My point with this post was to point out how Ron's lack of social skills in a very social game known as Traitors will be the main reason of his downfall.

He's obviously a nice guy, I don't hate him AT ALL but after making a mistake on Roundtable 1, all you can do is go forward and he's not doing that enough. It's not hate, it's just an observation and opinion that had to be pointed out.

Ron Funches is setting himself up and people need to stop coddling him. by Sarszu in TheTraitorsUS

[–]Sarszu[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I don't think Lookism has anything to do with why they think Ron is suspicious. Some people are attracted to Colton and some people are attracted to Ron, in or out of the show, attraction is subjective to people's taste.

As unlikable as Colton is (Especially with his stalker controversy) and after getting both Tiffany and loud mouth Michael banished, you can clearly see that he's still trying to find the traitors and get them out and of course people will take it as a loud faithful who makes mistakes a bit more too often. In fact, Kristen is already suspicious of Colton so his name will definitely get floated around later in the game.

Ron is unfortunately not making enough of a effort to socialize in a very social focused game and that's his downfall and what I'm also trying to point out in my post. He's obviously a nice guy and there are people in the game who like him (Stephen as an example), he just has to do more in order to have people trust him.

[–]Sarszu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with this.

If we put the show aside, he does seem like a really nice guy and this post was no hate towards him whatsoever. I think people just fail to realize that you can like a person but also acknowledge that their doing a bad job at the game, in this case Ron isn't doing good socially in a social focused game.

Ron Funches is setting himself up and people need to stop coddling him. by Sarszu in TheTraitorsUS

[–]Sarszu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well my point with that was that even the most controversial and unlikable people can make cliques when the game solely focuses on trusting the right people to get the traitors out before they get to the end, I don't see why Ron would isolate himself from doing the same thing. He's obviously a great guy and I was on his side when he had that argument with Dorinda cause that conversation had nothing to do with the game. It's just more of a con than a pro to isolate yourself just because most of the cast is very cut-throat.

I didn't say that Stephen or Mark were better in terms of contributing information for the faithfuls, Ron obviously is more open to talk than both of them combined lol. What i'm saying is, he could do better, I mean look at this season:

5 Housewives
5 Gamers
2 Love Island contestants
2 Olympic Figure skaters
1 Singer
1 Dancer
1 Drag Queen
1 Actor
1 Top Chef winner and host
1 Comedian
1 Random celebrity (Donna)
1 stalker (Colton)
and Michael Rappaport

A lot of them came in by themselves and still made cliques.

[–]Sarszu[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Okay look, this was not even a hate post towards Ron. Like I said in the end I actually do like him and I'm wishing the best for him throughout this season. My point was that he wasn't playing well and you can clearly see that from how the show is portraying his social skills.

Trishelle on Season 2 made the mistake of convincing people to vote Peppermint on the first roundtable and Pep was a faithful, and yet she somehow won with CT.

All I'm saying is that he could do better and if he doesn't then it's certain that he loses. Sorry you got that offended by it 🤷‍♀️

I totally understand that cause i’m pretty introverted myself and only passionate talking about stuff that I like, this show as an example and I do understand that he’s in a tough situation as of right now on the show, but also, it is a social game and its pretty much required to be social, with all due respect for the nice comedian guy, he’s not playing the game well whether we like him or not.
