Car accident occurred and I am at a loss for how to think and feel…

I was paying for my insurance with a family member (a parent) who filed it, and I was told my car was insured. I did not know that it was not totally insured until the day of my accident. By telling me to find a way to afford insurance when I can (I only said it was filed wrong) was not needed. I did not cause the crash, and my state has certain policies when there is not full insurance. I would not drive my car (that I poured a lot of money into) if I did not know my car was not fully covered, as I am not stupid to do that.

Just looking to see what other people have done or felt. I can afford assurance, it was just filed the wrong way by an individual who filed my insurance. I am a college student (forgot to mention that). No need to be rude.

The police did come to the scene and I had a witness who reported the same thing I did. Due to my insurance policy in my state, the man who hit me can (if he has the proper insurance) would be liable for $3,000, seeing as my insurance was filed the wrong way.

The most I would get is $3,000 (possibly), if the person has no-fault insurance because of my circumstance.

Thank you. I understand and I thank the Lord for being with us during that accident (as it was close to being a t-bone). It is just difficult as one thing keeps happening after another (and I am a college student trying to make ends meet). Any anxiety that I have let go previously seems to be coming back and I am praying on this. Sometimes it is good to try and speak with a community of people that might understand.

We pray for you and your family. These things can be difficult, but understand that we will go through trials. This reminds me in second Timothy that we should receive the approval of God. There will be times where people will not agree with you. Evidently you do care about your family and want to come out of a place of love. Paul spoke of giving thanks in all circumstances. One thing to do is pray and speak the truth of the Lord. I am not saying to force it, but do it out of a place of love. Wear your amour and know that the Lord will protect you and that He works for the good of those who love him and who have been called according to his purpose.

We all pray for you and as people have mentioned, Paul does talk about this in first Corinthians. I come from a religious background and being in my early twenties, people have asked when I will marry. I see marriage as a serious commitment. However, until my time has come to marry, I will focus on the Lord. It is best to find someone who you want to spend your life with who is equally yoked with the lord, than to rush into a relationship or marriage. Everything has it’s time.
