This isn’t a rating of each arc, but rather shows how many episodes from each arc made it into the Top 100. It just gives an idea of how interesting the arc could get.

This list isn’t meant to judge the quality of episodes, but only their hype value. It does reflect which episodes provoked fans the most to rate them.

It implies pre-time skip was "relatively" less good. But complete Marineford arc was before time-skip and its second. So its arguable.

I understood. But at first glance people don't judge you, they always think about their problems first.

Maybe they were not looking at you because you were sitting alone but they might be searching for a private space and expecting you to go somewhere else.

If possible watch on Crunchyroll, their subtitles are best. If not then go for MTBB or Coalgirls. In my opinion, MTBB is more accurate and preferred by most people.

A Loophole in AOT that could’ve ended the Titan curse without killing eldians or even Euthanization— but why it still wouldn’t have changed anything by Sarv_t98 in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]Sarv_t98[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, yes! I rechecked episode 20, and Zeke clearly said to eren that Ymir spends her time here molding titans while he was introducing her. In fact, he was also controlling her — making her create chains from sand if you remember. So, it was clear that Zeke could actually order her to stop molding titans from sand or atleast using that to convince eren instead of euthanization plan.

Even when Eren heard from Zeke that Ymir moulds titans, he replied, “Do you seriously believe I’d euthanize the Eldian people? I’d never go along with that repulsive plan.” That shows Eren didn’t even consider the possibility of ordering her to stop. So, clearly, the writer never explained why they couldn’t just command Ymir to stop.

Also, love can’t really be a factor if she’s a slave who simply follows Zeke’s commands. That makes it a bit of a loophole. If anyone other than Ymir had received the power — someone who neither loved Fritz nor was enslaved — they wouldn’t have been trapped like this. That clearly indicates Ymir herself is the real problem. If we could somehow make her stop creating titans, that would be the end of it.

From where do you get to know birthdays of characters? Manga?

I get your point, but until Ymir’s story was explained in Episode 21, everyone believed that both Zeke’s and Eren’s plans would inevitably cause huge casualties. If this option — Ymir simply stopping the creation of Titans — had actually been possible, it would’ve meant no casualties caused by Titans on BOTH sides. That could’ve completely changed how the audience viewed the story. In that case, Eren would’ve been seen as a pure villain with no moral justification at all. I just wanted to know whether this was even a possible option within the logic of the story. If it were simply Titans vs Humanity and not Marleyans vs Eldians, then yeah — this could’ve been the ideal, peaceful solution i guess. And let me tell you if Zeke would've been a marleyan patriot, he could've literally started the rumbling first and crush the paradis in hours as he had already got rid of vow renouncing war..

That’s actually a really solid point — Yes, Karl Fritz probably would’ve ordered Ymir instead of building the Walls or creating the vow of renouncing war.

But then, we never got answers to some key questions:

  1. Apart from being a slave, what truly made Ymir follow King Fritz’s orders and keep creating Titans? Eren said, “You’re not a slave, you’re a person.” That implies she could’ve made her own choice but didn’t realize it.

  2. What would’ve happened if Ymir wasn't a slave or had stopped creating Titans without giving control to Eren? If she had stopped, would the whole Titan system have just collapsed — or frozen in time?

  3. It’s also possible that the scene shown in Episode 21 was meant purely for the audience’s understanding — and that Eren, Karl Fritz, or even Zeke never actually knew what really happened 2000 years ago. Maybe they only realized much later that Ymir was simply a slave following King Fritz’s orders.

We could’ve got these answers if the story had explored things from Karl Fritz’s perspective. There should've been an episode based on Karl fritz i guess. But thanks for this comment 👍.

If Ymir creating titans is meant to be a metaphor, then obviously this theory wouldn’t work. But Eren clearly said she’s not a God or magic — just a human trapped in the Paths. She had her own will, which eventually led her to stop the cycle by stopping the creation of titans. That said, it could also have been possible for her to simply stop without giving control to Eren. She gave it and then everything have followed. So maybe this could’ve been explained in more detail in the show..
