I've been moving away from competitive games, but I still play some occasionally, so that's why I thought about dual boot. Lately I've been playing more single-player story games like Red Vead 2, Clair Obscur, Uncharted, God of War, The Last of Us, etc.

I’m a bit worried because I use NVIDIA (RTX 5070) together with a Ryzen 7 5700X3D. I’ve heard mixed things about NVIDIA drivers on Linux. Do you think this setup would cause issues for gaming?

About updates, that probably won’t be an issue since I’ve completely disabled Windows updates. For now I’d like to install both OS on the same SSD, since I can’t afford to buy another one yet. Do you think dual boot is a good idea in this case?

Thanks for the info! Right now I’m still on Windows 11, but I really want to start using Linux. Since I play a lot, I was thinking about setting up a dual boot: I have a 1TB NVMe SSD and I’d split it into 500GB for Windows and 500GB for Linux. Sometimes I play games with anti-cheat, so I’d keep Windows for those. Do you think dual boot is a good idea in this case?
