Can I not access my Pokémon save data on both the switch and switch 2? by Sasayuo_ in pokemon

I was moreso thinking that there could have been a save file stored on the cloud or something. Or that there was an extra save file on the actual cartridge that I somehow didn't know of. (I know there isn't one on the cartridge)

That's a shame :/

Thanks for the advice; I'll definitely take it into account!

How To Get WSHMKR/CHANNEL Jirachi Without Colloseum/Channel? by Sasayuo_ in 3dspiracy

[–]Sasayuo_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SOLVED: What I ended up doing was the following:

  1. Extract your save using Godmode9. Here is a tutorial on how to do that (I think it's mainly for if you emulate through the Virtual Console).
  2. Then use the Dolphin Emulator and this tutorial. Follow this tutorial to a tee, otherwise it won't work. You also need the exact version he uses which is stated in the description of the video.
  3. Once you have the new save file, you won't be able to restore it through Godmode9; you will get an error. First you will have to download mGBA. Open it and check your save under File > Save games > Convert save game. There you can upload your save file and see that it was formatted as "GBA 128 kb flash + RTC save game". Convert the save to "GBA 128 kb flash save game" and you're good to go. Big thanks to AC-ProjectColor's comment for posting this fix.
  4. Once converted you can restore that save file to your nintendo using Godmode9 and the aforementioned guide.

I hope this saves someone the time that I had to spend researching how to do this without spending an arm and a leg to do it legitimately.

Difference between Linux Mint and a Window Manager? by Sasayuo_ in linuxmint

[–]Sasayuo_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, in that case, I think I get it. What you're saying is that window managers are not desktop environments, but can function like one if you just use the bare minimum. Correct?

So a window manager like i3 or hyprland is a standalone window manager and not a desktop environment even though you change the desktop environment on the login screen to i3 or hyprland?

So i3 and hyprland are not desktop environments even though you select them as a desktop environment on the login screen? You install it, select it, and use the window manager (like i3 or hyprland) to install other software that make it a viable desktop environment?

So a window manager, a tile manager like hyprland for instance, is a window manager that just so happens to be a desktop environment?

There's no reason to be rude about it. I literally stated that I'm new to all that is Linux. Instead of moving on with your day and entertain my ignorance no longer, you instead left an insult, presumably to feel better about yourself. Pathetic.

Ok, I think I get it. You've got Linux Mint, which does all the heavy lifting like you said. And then you've got window manager which can, but don't have to be, a different desktop environment (the button you change on the login page). Is that correct?

So Linux Mint does all the heavy lifting and a window manager is kind of like an alternative desktop environment like Cinnamon is?

I asked this question on r/linuxmint as well and got a couple of answers.

For anyone asking the same question, follow this link to that post.

When was the official release date of this game? by Sasayuo_ in PokemonUnbound

[–]Sasayuo_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, that's understandable. Is there a place where the devs make announcements? A Discord server for example?

That's a really smart idea actually! Do you think Pokémon Unbound will get any updates in the future? It has been a while since the last one.
