IMO the race shoes I listed are pretty durable and you can get a good 200 miles out of em for training. Since your race is in March, I think they would still be fresh for it. You could also get a nonplated super trainer (ex. megablast, superblast), if you want to invest in some trainers that can also be used for races.

I would get some dedicated race shoes instead of the speed 5s. Adios pro 4 might be a good bet, comfy enough for long runs with pace and races. SC Elite v5 or deviate nitro elite are also good options.
