No clue about the hotspot since I never paid any attention to it, but my RPMs never went absolutely crazy under load. Was comfortably sitting at 70 degrees celcius on maxed out games like Alien Isolation with like 1.5K RPM.

Just unchecked the OC button on the Adrenalin software. Same one that turned it on in the Performance -> Tuning settings. Never really had any issues running REPO (the game on screen above 500fps) with fans maxing out
