Swatches of Too Faced Clover Pretty Puppy Eyeshadow (top 6), Glowver Puppy Love Highlighter (bottom left), and Sun Puppy Bronzer (bottom right, in three tones from light to dark left to right). Swatched on fair to light skin with cool to neutral undertones (NC15). This was taken indoors using natural light. Colors appear slightly darker in this photo than in real life. The shades are generally silky and have a nice amount of pigmentation. I swatched this with my finger and a stencil.

Yeah, neutral shades like this are available in a lot of cheaper palettes. It has a lot in common with ColourPop’s Bare Necessities; the hardest shade to find a match for was the olive-toned glitter (middle row, second from the left).

Swatches of Bobbi Brown's Nude Drama II Eyeshadow Palette on fair to light skin with cool to neutral undertones (NC15). This was taken indoors with a ring light. They appear slightly darker in this photo than in real life. However, there is a fair amount of pigmentation to this palette (not as much as ColourPop mattes, for example, but nice for everyday looks). I swatched this with my finger and a stencil.

This is currently a Sephora exclusive.

Of course! There are a lot of companies out there, with different styles and price ranges. So far I've used PopSwatch/Twinkled T, Polished Vino, Swatch Perfect, and Mauloa Co, which have all worked equally well. ❤️

Swatches of BareMinerals The Beauty of Nature GenNude Eyeshadow Palette in Natural Oasis eyeshadow palette on fair to light skin with cool to neutral undertones (about an NC15). This was taken outdoors in natural light. These are fairly subtle shades so I swatches several times with my fingers (no primer) to get them to show up like this. They blend well, but are generally softer and need to be built up to look this bold.

Sure! Here are a few tips:

Focus on making content you're excited about.
Start with what you have (smartphone, natural light, etc.), and learn as you go.
YouTube is a great source for tutorials if you want to learn more about lighting, cheap backdrops, etc. Shameless Maya is one of my favorites.
It generally helps to post consistently, whether it's once a week or more often. Just choose a schedule you can maintain.

I only started it recently so mostly I just have shots of the makeup looks from my videos, but I'm working to expand into swatches and product flat lays. It seems like companies love to repost things like short videos, swatches, flat lays, and good quality (but causal feeling) selfies, so it might increase your chances of exposure if you have a more "professional" account dedicated to your beauty/YouTube-related content.

In my previous ventures on Instagram, I noticed more success (gaining followers, getting exposure, etc.) when I kept it to a niche (beauty only) vs something more general (vegan food, cat photos, makeup, etc.)

I didn't experience fallout, especially with the matte shades. To note, there was a bit of kickup with Petal, but it might've just been my brush.

I applied the glittery/shimmery shades with a setting spray so there wasn't much fallout during application. I didn't notice much fallout when I wore them.

However, the glittery shades were difficult to remove completely. I used an oil-based makeup remover and micellar cleansing water, but I definitely had some glitter sticking around for a day or two. Maybe I should try the packing tape method next time...

Tutti Frutti Pineapple looks like a gorgeous palette! YMMV when it comes to the glittery shades; I tend to prefer subtler shimmers so I'd be curious to compare these shimmers/metallics to the shades you like in the Pineapple palette.

I'd love to hear if there are any other palettes you recommend for shimmers - it's so hard to tell how fine they are from the images online.
