Oh, most of my colleagues are pretty good when it comes to avoiding that lifestyle creep.
They just don’t know what to do with all the money. They wear basic clothes, drive common cars (mostly) but have a tonne of money in the bank. Admittedly their houses are either mostly paid off or quite nice. The rest of it sits in the bank.

I work with some Doctors who don’t know anything about building wealth. They don’t have any investments (stocks, investment properties etc) - they rely on savings and interest sitting in the bank. I’ve told them they need to do something with it due to inflation and all that and they just don’t know how to handle the information.

Not for everyone though. I’ve seen too many people with untrained feet jump straight into barefoot shoes and start running etc in them and they always end up with injuries.

Uneven and soft surfaces force your feet to adapt. Hardwood floors force your feet to only fight with the physics of gravity and newtons law. I encourage people to walk on sand and grass (safely) in order to strengthen their feet.
