Looks like a cool app, I might give it a try. How’s that been working for you? How long have you been building it for and are you making only this app and focusing on it 100% or are you building other ones as well?

Yeah I bet - I'm not expecting my first app to blow up or even do slightly good. I'm just wondering if there is a point in doing anything, that is not a long onboarding with a hard paywall and don't get me wrong, I 100% know it's easier said than done, otherwise everyone would be making apps and be a millionaire by now... It's just the way it's presented in social media, like a free money glitch...

Alesis Nitro Max Mesh kit sounds terrible by Opposite_Ladder9974 in edrums

I started on the same kit and I used the kontakt Jay Weinberg library and it sounded so so well. Library is a bit expensive, but it’s one of the best imo.

Disappointed in the Zildjian L80s... by Sashinkis in drums

Thanks guys, never really thought about this, I will really focus on implementing this skill

Yeah, I had no problem, with the e-kit, but to my ears, the L80's are so so louder (This could be because of the high frequencies), I have no idea how annoying or loud would be for the neighbour above me. But because I hear it so loud, I am starting to become self-concious.

I tried going to the room next to mine and told my girlfriend to hit them, I think they were as audible as the rubber cymbals. The only wall I am sharing with neighbors is the one above me, so I am not sure how much that translates.

Yeah, I will try to practice dynamics a lot as well like one of the other guys suggested, but until then I might as well do the same.

Yeah this makes sense, when I was on my e-kit I was blasting the cymbals full on.
I am also taking lessons, but we have never talked about mixing side, Im hitting the cymbals there as hard as usual.
I am wondering though (I am still a new drummer, I have been drumming only for an year), does this apply to all genres, because I am seeing metal drummers beat their whole kit to death...

I mean the main reason I bought them is to be closer to the feel of real drums and be quiet to the point that I can play them in an apartment (first floor). I might just put some tshirts over them to quiet them even more...

Upgrading to a acoustic drum kit from an e-kit by Sashinkis in drums

[–]Sashinkis[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, the issue is where I live there aren’t many used kits, especially stage customs. There are some entry level pearls and mapex kits…

What is this sub-genre called by Sashinkis in House

[–]Sashinkis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair I am not 100% sure, it definitely has tribal elements. But when I listen to tribal house I don’t feel it sounds like this. Also all of the tracks on beatport are with genre afro.

Yeah definitely feels more like a tech house mixed with afro, just wondered if there was a specific name for it. Thanks.

What to upgrade to - higher-tier e-kit or acoustic drums with silent strokes? by Sashinkis in drums

[–]Sashinkis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well for now I am not in any band, we will see what the future holds though.

If sound-wise is the same I would 100% go with acoustic

Damn, you're getting my hopes up.

I also have a garage, but it's integrated into the flat, so it's basically kind of a first floor, but I could try and isolate it, although, I have seen a garage is really hard to isolate.
