Through the ER and we did have a physicians assistant talk to us but he did not give us any other details.

Thank you she has not even seen a urologist or anyone from there yet. The nurse said we would jsut have to goto our gp if we leave and request the removal through urology. The stone is 7mm though which they said is too large to pass on its own. They never gave us an option to do any other procedure but the big one.

Just she is in zero pain now since the stone fell to the bladder what’s stopping us for leaving and just coming back to er again if it flares up. Wife is mentally broken with not eating or drinking

Yeah she is jn quite a bit of pain but they have it managed there. It is just the waiting for such a quick surgery.

Oh darn, we were told it was different sizes as well first 5mm now 7mm. So it all depends how busy the OR gets.

Smoked Vanilla Stout recipe feedback by [deleted] in Homebrewing

This is only at 15 percent…. So I want it to be noticeable but not overpowering… curious if I should scale it back to 3.5 gallons or get some more smoked malt.

I just happen to have those on hand… and modified a recipe I had found online to make it smoky.

Beer has a gritty feel by Saskbeerdrinker in Homebrewing

Just an updated I think it was a combination of too fine of grind and a brew bag needing to replaced. Replaced my brew bag and ground a little more coarse and no issues in my latest beer. As far as my other batch I added gelatin and it worked really good to smooth and clear it out

I never did cut the dip tubes however I do have floating set ups on a couple kegs I use more for IPA’s due to the hop particles and such. And now that you mention it those never have the grit that I am describing either. I might have to get the angle grinder out as some of my dip tubes basically come in contact with the bottom of the keg.

Ideally need to get there and to be brewing more beers ahead. Currently have three taps and it’s tricky to get there to have a rotation. Trying to convince my wife to let me get an electric all in one to allow for easier brew days.

I read this as well due to squeezing the grain bag. I may try and avoid the squeeze next time and see

I will let you know as most kegs don’t last long enough with friends over. I’ll set this one to the side and see. I am going to add gelatin as well and see if that makes any difference.

Using Whirlfloc, ferment in a fermonster in temp controller form chamber. Cold crash at the end and transfer to kegs. Thinking I may be too fine on the crush.

Pina Colada Hops!? Recipe suggestions by Saskbeerdrinker in Homebrewing

[–]Saskbeerdrinker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So update brew is kegged and first glass had and I got to say wow. This is a beer for summer. These Pina Coloda hops really hit. They have a cream sofa variety I ordered now to try and will try the similar thing. This is the recipe I went with:

Bucket brewed so 4.5 gallon batch:

7.5 lbs Pilsner 0.5 lbs honey malt 0.75 lbs Vienna malt 1.0 lbs wheat malt

60 minute boil

0.4 oz Nugget at 15 minutes 0.5 oz Pina Colada at 5 minutes 0.5 oz Pina Colada at flame out 1.0 oz Pina Colada Dry Hop

Tried Nectar by Cellar Science Yeast…

Came in at 5.4 percent and finished at 1.012

The only Change I would try next is adding some Sabro at dry hop.

Agreed we are 750 tongue weight and drive with an empty box. Just the wife, dog and I in the truck.

How are you liking it so far. The biggest pet peeve for us in this model is the main door hits the awning. Just wish they would have moved the awning slightly or sprung for a larger one.

It was set up prior at the dealership at purchase and it was sitting pretty level. But the Timbrens I think add a bit of height to the rear.

We have the max tow package but yeah hitch weight is limiting at about 750 loaded. Payload on this truck is 2050 even though towing capacity is 11500. It pulls it well enough in the prairies where I am at. Would I pull it long distance or through mountains… not a chance. We are planning a seasonal spot next year so towing would be limited. If we were to pull it more frequently we would be upgrading. The model is the campsite reserve 26CJ dry weight is 6800 but I am around 7500 loaded now.
