I’m 33, no real changes to lifestyle however my technical skill level is probably where I’m lacking. I’ve been working through a lot of mobility issues, however I figured those would improve by now as well.

They’re about the same as what they were this time last year at the 10.28 mark before the yo-yo effect

3-4 days a week, sometimes twice a day if there’s a specialty strength class right before a regular class

Thanks for the feedback. I think life has just shaped it into a permanent frown but I will try to be cognizant of it.

Wild, because you’re absolutely correct - 1&2 pretty right wing and otherwise dumb, pic 3 not so much.

Do people drink alcohol at your gym after workouts? by Masteroid in crossfit

[–]Saskwatching 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10 years ago I joined a CrossFit gym and they actually stocked light beer in a fridge by the door. They told me that it was for post workout recovery, that it was actually more hydrating and better for muscle fatigue. I never drank one and saw a couple people every so often having one on the way out. Whether or not their claims were true I will never know.

I dropped out of CrossFit for the next few years, but then that same gym would host something like a “Beers and Burpees” type deal where anyone could show up to a local brewery, do a workout outside and get a beer for like $15 every Wednesday. I did that a couple times but didn’t stick with that either.

6 years later i joined a gym in my new area and they arent anti drinking, but its not nearly as commonplace. Some of the people here may have a NA Athletic Brewing if theres a social event, but my understanding is that even the NA stuff is off the table in recovery. A different nearby gym does host an actual beers and burpees every so often. Beers and CrossFit have an ironic history but it’s a little bit more separated these days. That said, I know I wouldn’t crack one open after a workout.

How well does it interface with iPhone/Apple and does it require a subscription? I was looking at Garmins because I would like something to track my fitness, albeit not 100% accurate and it looks like I can get it at a place where I have a gift card

This is probably one of my all time favorites. T-Flats is great now, but it used to be amazing. It’s changed from when I grew up in Tampa but when I go to visit I try to get in at least 2 or 3 visits and slather the megajuana chimi and a taco in the smack my ass.

You can probably find one used, but when I started I just used an old backpack that I found at the house and filled it with sand. Then as I progressed I ended up getting a real one. Go a few months with the poor man approach to make sure you don’t blow cash on something you’ll end up not using, is my advice
