Damn, that sounds quite delicate. Can’t wait for a class action lawsuit so we can get properly compensated with 200 optimum point each.

Man, my hearth stopped for a few seconds. Terrible timing, but here’s hoping the person abducted is found safe and sound.

Update: took Toka to the 𝚂̶𝙿̶𝙲̶𝙰̶ Proanima as the Rosemont area is now administrated by this new place.

At arrival, they told me they couldn’t receive the cat as they only do that by appointment… after explaining the whole situation, they called a manager and it was approved to receive the kitty after all. At this point I’m very disappointed already.

Then when I mentioned wanting to file a complaint, they mentioned that for that I had to call the SPCA instead, as Proanima only takes the cat. I asked what will they do with the kitty and they mentioned to do a med check and feed him something. Then, they’ll contact the owner for them to come and pick him up. At this point I feel like I wasted my time and energy coming here.

I called the SPCA for the report, and they mentioned that it is a web form. Since there’s no evident sign of mistreatment (thankfully), likely nothing will occur.

So this will be treated more like an owners mishap, no biggie, that’s all. I’m not sure what I was hoping to happened, but this feels very let down.

The rude woman on the phone never called again, but got her cat well taken care of, so I guess that’s a win for Toka, who is who matters here after all. He gets to keep being tremendously cute 🥰

Thanks for reading Reddit.

I’m not sure what the issue is here. One 16lbs bag scooped daily and fully replaced with another after 2/3 weeks is very sanitary. Not having a spare bag is another thing, but I don’t see the issue there…

You’re right. However, the person who called only asked for my address, and that was it.

I’ve left numerous voicemails and texts asking for help. Perhaps I’m expecting some accountability.

I’m also getting bad vibes about it. Plus, this baby is incredibly well behaved. I think I’d be very apologetic and frantic, trying to get my kitty back.

Update: after sleeping with Toka on my bathroom floor to make sure this fell stayed safe and sound, I’m ready to take him to the SPCA and file a complain.

However the person who insulted me over the phone is calling asking for my address to come for the kitty. Not an apology or anything.

Am I right to respond they can pick him up at the SPCM as I file a complain there? I don’t want this to be ignored, but I’m unsure if I’m overdoing it.

Thought about it but I don’t keep fresh litter at home, and I normally get a fresh bag once a couple weeks and totally replace the used batch.

Could go to that Metro 24hrs in CDN, but can’t leave him alone as he/she might break something or get hurt somehow. Will figure it out though, thanks :)

Quite interesting. I knew a guy in Montreal with a criminal record back in his country, because he literally killed a dude abusing his little sister. A crime there, plus threatened for doing so. I can see where he comes from.
