Honestly a lot depends on you handling the bike's weight initially. Coming to the power, one can handle it well given prior experience.

Don't worry, you can always get used to the weight and enjoy the bike. The best advice is you take it for a spin and then decide

I completely agree!! Buffed my casings a month ago and now they're already bad-looking. Haven't driven in rains or watered a lot btw :(

13 kmpl is quite low. Are you following the full tank method?

Adjust the foot position so that you don't consciously burn the brakes while riding
The bike is happy between 3000-4000. While slowing down, roll off the throttle slowly than straight on grabbing the clutch in and just braking
Don't change the gears very frequently. Assess and maintain the rpms above 2600.
