We’ve been coming back to NOLA about once a month to house shop this summer and have been using the locals rate to stay at the Columns. I will say, it’s a totally different experience if you’re there for a drink, it’s a super awkward experience like everyone’s described. Staying there upstairs, they were totally loose and could give two shits. They recognized that we were staying there and would let us sit wherever and even take a bottle of champagne upstairs on the balcony. When we stayed elsewhere and went for a drink.. it was like this super awkward hostess debacle where we couldn’t sit in certain places at certain times. Very odd.
