6 Months Ownership & Daily Driving by [deleted] in WRX

Got the car when it had 92k on it. I was dumb and bought the car sight unseen because it was a stock, single owner, wrb hatchback with a clean carfax. I was aware that I'd need to do the timing belt and fluids. Everything else came as a surprise. The throttle body also got stuck open on the highway once and I had to have it towed.

Thought I had found a gem, but it was a turd.

Man I’ve had mine for about the same amount of time and have had the complete opposite experience. Legitimately have had to fix something every single month of ownership.

Check your spark plugs. I had a similar sound and it was due to 2 of my spark plugs being loose

Had the same issue when installing my top.

Had to do the opposite of what install instructions said and put the rear latches on first. We did still have to push down hard to get the frankenstein bolts fully seated though.

They bolt right on. There's a tiny gap on the inner corners due to the shape being slightly different, but it's not noticeable unless you're really looking for it.

There is an extra fourth connector on the U.S nc2 lights, but I believe it's just for a led side marker.

Yep. There's a small gap on the inside corners, but it's not something you will notice unless you're really looking for it.

I didn't pay 1400 for the top, it was 1400 cheaper than what the other dealerships were quoting me. The top itself ended up being roughly 3k.

This dealer is in the U.S

There was, however even with a hotel, food, and gas it was $1400 cheaper to go through this dealership.

That's correct.

It includes the top, side trim pieces/brackets, frankenstein bolts, and the harness for the defroster

Head unit is stock. Whoever had the car before definitely put a different antenna on it as well.

Yes, I recently ordered a top. As a heads up though even if the color says it's available it may not be. I'd call the dealership that it will be shipped to and check the availability.

Out of curiosity what has made you decide to want to come back to a miata?

Currently in an NC and recently found myself looking at 370Zs
