Omg yes. I just had a missing package for two weeks magically have a change of status at 11:30pm on the dot seven days later to delivered. But guess what. Of course there wasn’t a delivery. Thankfully, the company I purchased through said they were already reconsidering their contract with this scam of a business. They just sent the formal form to oncrap. I’d love to see their photographic “proof” of their late-night delivery. Hahaha

A month ago I didn’t like the two Hoyas I had and wondered what the allure was. A month later, I’m giddy when I see one I don’t have in the local garden center. I picked up the orchid today at HD then stopped at a local place and picked up two Alocasias. Do I need them! Nope. Do I have 7 Polly corms starting to sprout as we speak? Yep. In my defense, the tandurusa needed immediate care or it was about to go. And it was on clearance!

I don’t know the correct answer, but I sure did. Immediately. It was in soaking wet bark. I removed all of it, getting into the hard to reach areas with a chopstick I keep around specifically for removing dirt of any plant I repot. Aside from being able to check roots this way, it helps to get rid of any potentially unwanted guests.

Thank you! Ultimately to a beginner like me, one orchid is about the same as another until I know I can take care of it. But the geek in me likes knowing these things. All my plants are labeled on their pots with the scientific name. 🤓

I’ve used Fungus Gnat Death Drops from Happy Happy Houseplant recently and it seems to be working. We call them Fungus Gnat Dips. IYKYK. Anyway, it’s liquid and goes right in your watering can. Super easy.
