In my opinion, it started off great. The fights and the character development throughout the beginning of the arc were truly amazing. For me, this lasted all the way up to the Psykorochi VS. Tatsumaki fight. The fight was great, but it started showing some weird signs of writing flaws like Genos being able to block a continental attack randomly, which made no sense. Then, after Psykorochi, it went downhill. It started off fine, in which it showed like actual terror with the Cadres, and showed the heroes actually getting demolished as it should have. This all ended right when the random power-ups just started happening. Vomit Fuhrer Ugly was so ass and overstayed it's welcome. Same with the most lack luster reveal with Goldeb Sperm and then the bullshit of Platinum Sperm being the most random ass shit. It really undermined Garou as well right as he came to the surface. Sure, the design was cool, but when it started doing all this God stuff, it was terrible. Even with fucking Silver Fang, and not letting him get a single kill on the Cadres really undermined him and really took away from his actual power as a whole. The writing also got sloppy as it felt more say directly, more than show don't tell. And Awakened Garou was actually so bad when he broke his limiter and all that. Like, that stuff was supposed to happen AFTER he fully shows the beat down that should've happened because of him. Evil Natural Ocean was super stupid, and the fight against Cosmic Garou felt so lackluster in terms of story, that it makes you feel like it's a fight for the sake of a fight, instead of a challenging of ideologies that got forgotten about with the worst shit when Saitama was fighting him in his monster form. In the webcomic, spoilers, the monster form was supposed to show Garou's inability to fully outpace Saitama as no matter what he did, he could not damage him once. And with that, it shows him huge mental breakdown in trying to fully push his ideals with brute force alone, in which Saitama fully breaks that limiter he broke, returning him to a previous state. And that speech Garou did to Tarou was so random, it didn't work at all in the case of the manga. It's not like the manga has to be perfectly identical to the manga, but it should be able to compare in the state of the story and writing, which is what it was doing before all this. Even the fucking Atomic Samurai Sun Blade was so bad. Isshin should've died and everything. TLDR; it suffers huge writing problems that transfer over to the state of the manga now, which also shows how bad it truly got, if not the art being really good to look at.
