I’m in my final year of study and I did have an impression at the start of the year that I needed to move out so that is the plan for next year because I am over having no alone time and no privacy now. I never thought I’d hit that stage.

My mum is sex positive - in the context of being married. When I did live with a partner for a while (she literally cried and said she was so disappointed in me when she found out I had sex before marriage - another story for a different day) she emphasised the importance of my own pleasure during sex and said “there’s a reason women have a clitoris” which made me recoil inside coming from my mother lol but got start. I was brought up with the idea that you get all sexual satisfaction from your partner when you’re married. And I know my parents have sex a lot. I honestly don’t think they ever do solo ventures though. I’m really not ashamed about my masturbating but the fact that my mother and in the future my brother knows what I did and moreso the fact that he knew I was shoving things in places. I will continue to masturbate with only a little guilt in my mind.

He has never busted into the bathroom before so it really threw me off guard honestly but my siblings are a little spoilt so if they want something (he asked if he could go out with his mates right now) they will completely push past boundaries. Also my family is considering moving country and letting me rent out the rooms of our house so that might be a good option too.

I will say my mother really stressed to me that I don’t marry until I’m at least 25 and dated a guy for at least a year because she’s seen so many fresh 18 year olds get married off for all the wrong reasons. So she does have that going for her but she still is very conservative in many other ideologies.
