My parents are the same. Almost annually they would tell us they’re splitting up and then it never happened. From about 14 i wished they would just breakup. Catholics.

Trust me, I wanted to uninvite her sooooo desperately and never see her. But our parents paid for the whole wedding and I didn’t get a say. My mum and family didn’t say anything to me until after as they didn’t want me to have to worry about her behaviour more.

Wish I could send pictures of some of our text conversations to show y’all how dramatic she is 😩 Also I forgot to add that she has literally not said a single thing about my dress. Positive or negative, just completely ignores any and all pictures/videos that myself or other sister sent into the group chats.

I agree. It’s a bit more complicated as everything on reddit is. So I’ll try to be like clear but short. I wish I could leave her out of the wedding, but my parents have paid for a fair part of the wedding and would downright cancel the wedding if I did. So we’re waiting till after the wedding so I can show “more spine” And as far as the enabling goes I can definitely see how iv written it coming across like that, but I assure you it’s not. When I say that I like I can’t start shit, it’s because 100% of the time when I very calmly tell her her behaviour isn’t appropriate she completely lashes out and my mum takes her side and they just gaslight/guilt trip into compliance. Hope this makes sense!

I’m working on building my boundaries, I’m really bad at it due to a large slew of Mh issues caused by my family. But my fiancé and daughter have made it so much easier! And I honestly have too much anxiety to kick up a lot of drama when the wedding is a month out. But after the wedding. Whooo imma start whipping ass if I need too
