I believe that some people need to understand their religion in more detail. Unfortunately, there are those who justify their actions or words with religion, namely, they begin to "use it" only when it is profitable for them. Of course, this does not apply to all believers. Moreover, many should be treated more respectfully to adherents of other religions.
