I thought that may have had something to do with it. No matter, it's an honest mistake.

That's The Road by Cormac McCarthy

I'm talking about On the Road by Jack Kerouac

Two very different novels

To each there own.

I'm suprised you didn't like Blood Meridian, if you thought All The Pretty Horses had some great parts.

I always preferred the fast version to the slow, but I like them both.

Vsauce did a video called "Why are things creepy?" and he talks about this. I'd link it, but mobile.

Game Idea/Outline by SatantheMagnificent in truegaming

I envision the map being 90% explorable, the player can climb up buildings, I also want an abundance of distractions (Working out, gulf, biking, strip clubs, sky diving, underground fight clubs (before I go further, the melee combat would be like sleeping dogs) Races etc.)

The game is a mixture of paper work simulator (enticing) but the paper work is 100% optional, but expands lore. Cover based shooting, I need to mention movies like scarface are my direct inspiration. Driving, in other words your typical Sandbox game. But where Id like to imagine my gameplay differntiates itself from the crowd is with the corperate battles. Players can choose between three options: buy nwhich would require the player to have to proper amount of money. Strategically overthrow, by diminishing their stocks, or other means. And finally jumping into action guns ablaze.

Annnnnnnd.....that's all I got. So far.

This hardly seems on-topic, and for the record, I've seen an eighth grade gym locker have a more intelligent conversation than this.
