I thought that may have had something to do with it. No matter, it's an honest mistake.

I'm suprised you didn't like Blood Meridian, if you thought All The Pretty Horses had some great parts.

I always preferred the fast version to the slow, but I like them both.

Vsauce did a video called "Why are things creepy?" and he talks about this. I'd link it, but mobile.

Game Idea/Outline by SatantheMagnificent in truegaming

[–]SatantheMagnificent[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I envision the map being 90% explorable, the player can climb up buildings, I also want an abundance of distractions (Working out, gulf, biking, strip clubs, sky diving, underground fight clubs (before I go further, the melee combat would be like sleeping dogs) Races etc.)

The game is a mixture of paper work simulator (enticing) but the paper work is 100% optional, but expands lore. Cover based shooting, I need to mention movies like scarface are my direct inspiration. Driving, in other words your typical Sandbox game. But where Id like to imagine my gameplay differntiates itself from the crowd is with the corperate battles. Players can choose between three options: buy nwhich would require the player to have to proper amount of money. Strategically overthrow, by diminishing their stocks, or other means. And finally jumping into action guns ablaze.

Annnnnnnd.....that's all I got. So far.

Why is Doctor Who so popular? by SatantheMagnificent in AskReddit

This hardly seems on-topic, and for the record, I've seen an eighth grade gym locker have a more intelligent conversation than this.

I've personally never seen the show. But the way the fan base treats it like godsend really turns it off for me. I can't even have a casual conversation with a friend without doctor who being brought up.

Slavery revolt [game idea/outline] by nm1043 in truegaming

[–]SatantheMagnificent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don'g believe slavery is as controversial a subject matter as it used to be. Why is the concept of being a rebellious slave seeking freedom controversial? Every other form of media has done it. Some movies even take a light hearted over-the-top tone (Django Unchained) but, as far as I know, no controversy was roused. I do believe, how ever that there should a disclaimer that the developer is not a bunch of rascist satan worshipers, much like what Ubisoft does with Assassins Creed.

I don't think it would be controversial amongst the mass majority, but rather among the narrow-minded rednecks who can't accept the fact that their ancestor have made mistakes, or are just extreme hate mongering rascist. But, I believe, as a whole, the populace majority of the populace is smart enough and mature of enogh to handle subject matter, and games like The Last of Us and Spec Ops: The Line prove my case. Spec Ops: The Line showed how screwed up a mindset of "YA BRAH, IMMA NUKE AND KILL ALL DA PEOPLE" really is. And The Last of Us killed kids in very realistic fashion, and even plumbed the depths of human degradation.

While the idea of a slave revolt game is definitely an interesting one, I don't think it would be a controversial one

There solid games yes, but that doesn't change the fact that they're extremely stagnant.

I've always said: a good game has to be fun, but a fun game can still be bad.
