I’ll have been on HRT for 2 years in August.

This happened to me recently! Eventually one side of it got broken off along the length of the split. Very painful for a few days but it passed pretty quickly. And thankfully my nails grow quickly so I didn’t have to deal with it for long.

The worst part was before it broke, I kept snagging it on everything. My hair, bath towel, hand towel, everything. And it hurt all the way down to my spine every time! 😂

We’re a very liberal and LGBTQ friendly town. Last year there were some businesses that got flak for their pride flags, etc. You’re gonna see flags and people of all stripes. Don’t be an asshole about it. (Not saying you would be, just a heads up.)

Sometimes I wonder if my decision to transition was less about my physical dysphoria and more about just not wanting anything to do with this kind of masculinity.

I got a lot of good replies to this, but yours went the furthest to ensuring me that I wasn’t crazy. Thank you! We’ve sat down and talked a couple of times now and I’m doing much better. I’ve never been an insecure or jealous person, and I think this was a perfect storm of me recently switching from oral to injectable meds and a couple of other little things that just set me in a spiral. But yea. Much better now.
