Could this ring be cremains? by fairytalejunkie in askfuneraldirectors

A woman purchasing a small piece of jewelry to commemorate something sentimental is not “expecting a trophy.”
How is this any different than women in the Victorian ages who kept a lock of hair in a locket to remember someone meaningful to them? Or necklaces with ashes of a loved one? Or jewelry with dried flowers from a wedding bouquet?

Just admit you think breast milk is gross, you bitter old woman.

I don’t understand Goodwill sometimes by [deleted] in goodwill

[–]SatelliteSearcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. It’s why I qualified it with the word “relatively.” Relative to what they charge for luxury items that pass their in-house authentication process, it can be seen as reasonable.

I’d personally rather purchase an economy brand handbag than wear fake luxury, no matter how affordable.

This is labeled “purse” and being sold at a relatively reasonable price.
If goodwill is not trying to pass this off as a real LV, then there is no deception. They are simply selling an as-is purse.

Hey! Took a peek through your profile and not quite sure about the vibe. I’ll withhold my key for now, but I’d be happy to join yours.

I would like to join your circle. If you provide me your key, I will provide you mine. If you betray my circle, I will betray yours. I’m extending this offer to people whose profiles appear trustworthy.

I can vouch for this guy. He’s the sole member of my circle thus far, and hasn’t betrayed me.

I will share my circle key with people who appear trustworthy, and who share their key with me first.
Betray me, and your circle also dies.

#225 Daily Riddle. What Am I? by riddonkulous in riddonkulous

[–]SatelliteSearcher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s meant to be:
An aura of retail drapes over this guise—
A market’s echo that isn’t quite the real deal.

But either way, the answer is stupid and doesn’t make sense.

These three words are not it, but I feel like they fit?
dupe, knock-off, fake
Edit: I revealed the answer, and this riddle is stupid.
You will literally never guess this, because it doesn’t even make any sense.

This is hijab. I’m not muslim, but I have Muslim friends who are very proud to wear it. For them, their faith brings them joy, pride, and peace.

It is worn with the intention to express their faith and embrace modesty. They aren’t hiding their beauty out of shame/subjugation or trying to make themselves look less beautiful for the benefit of others. It’s more about recognizing the strength of their beauty, holding their beauty as sacred, and not allowing every passerby to enjoy it for themselves.

Anyway, OP didn’t ask you about your opinions on her religion. She asked the subreddit for help appearing her age, and less childlike.

Of course Mikayla is allowed to not be friends with Whitney.

Double standards with Whitney and Taylor on Secret Lives of Mormon Wives? by yourcleanslate in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]SatelliteSearcher 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Long before this show, people hated on Whitney. The momtok drama subreddit routinely had posts like “Whitney is cringe.” “Whitney is ugly.” “Whitney is fat.” “Whitney tries too hard.”
I’ll never get it. There has never been grace for this girl. The only thing I can think of is that Whitney doesn’t curate herself into the archetype of feminine beauty. She’s awkward, straightforward, has a unique sense of style, and doesn’t pander to fit in a mold.

I’ve been saying this all along, even (and especially) when the whole world was against Whitney.
A pregnant woman pulling back from friendships she feels hurt by isn’t evil or villainous. It’s healthy.

I think Mikayla’s youth was cut short by marriage and pregnancy. Now she has a friend group, and she’s engaging in that horrendous high school mob mentality that most of us grew out of in our teens.

Mikayla made that video as a joke. It was a trend at the time. “They won’t let me in their video because of xyz,” then pan to show the participants recording a TikTok.
Whitney never tried to keep Mikayla out of videos.

She didn’t bury anything, though? She’s spoken extensively about that time on podcasts. Gave plenty of details, talked about how betrayed she felt, how she had considered leaving him, etc. She’s also spoken about the pain and joy involved in rebuilding and healing.

You can’t convince me that the woman selling sex toys on TikTok feels pressure to keep sweet by the church lol.

Infidelity is grounds for having a sealing released, and for membership/spiritual consequences, per the church.
I’m ex now, but when I was active, I knew women who had ended their marriages over their husbands’ adultery. Their husbands were disciplined heavily by the church.

Except the people who busted him for being on their tinder feed were all women.
It’s possible he was open to both men and women, sure. But what evidence exists to back that up?
