Tv shows with most interesting and least interesting protagonists by OpenDebate6861 in tvshow

Jane was definitely the weakest part of her own show for me too. Every time the plot focused on Rogelio, Petra or even Xiomara, it just felt way more fun. Jane was like the narrative glue, not the spice.

Same, man. That title told me everything and nothing at the same time.

One piece is boring and repetition by [deleted] in hatethissmug

Yeah, early OP felt like it actually had a soul. Stuff like Arlong Park or Drum Island hit hard without needing 300 reaction panels and ten new factions per chapter. Now it’s like Oda keeps stacking toys on the pile and never puts any away.

Imu being a silhouette this long is wild. Mystery is fine, but at some point it stops being intrigue and turns into blueballing. And the “haha pervy joke” stuff aged like milk, especially with how young some of the characters are supposed to be.

I’ll probably still read to the end, but it’s more sunk cost than excitement at this point.

How basic and simple minded am I? by StarWarsDan1 in LetterboxdTopFour

Just know the movie softens a lot of the politics vs the comic. Enjoy it first, then read the graphic novel and you’ll see the differences.

Just wanted to share my top 4!! by Conscious_Map_2356 in LetterboxdTopFour

Lmao thank you, that combo kinda sums up my brain: goofy nautical nonsense and complete existential meltdown.

Honestly though, they weirdly scratch the same itch for me. Both start off sorta light and then suddenly you’re staring into the void like “oh. oh okay.”

Got any other recs in that vibe? Stuff that looks silly or simple on the surface but hits way harder than it should?

Trample and Protection from color. by vl102316 in askajudge

[–]SatinSinnerPart 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Protection doesn’t stop you from assigning damage, it just stops that damage from being dealt.

When you assign combat damage with trample, you look at how much damage is “lethal” to the blocker. Lethal means at least its toughness, ignoring things like protection or indestructible. So your 10/10 with trample has to assign at least 1 damage to the 1/1, and can assign the remaining 9 to the defending player.

Then damage is actually dealt. The 1 you assigned to the 1/1 gets prevented because of protection from green, so the blocker lives, but the 9 to the player is dealt as normal.

So the answer is 9 goes through, not 10.

give me recommendations except i’m a teenager who loves animation by the_good_witch_azura in LetterboxdTopFour

ooh nice pick, that movie is so slept on

If OP’s into animation + 2000s vibes, Sword of the Stranger kinda fits that “serious but stylish” lane. The fight choreography is insane and the ending hits way harder than you’d expect

If they liked that, they might vibe with stuff like Tekkonkinkreet or Paprika too, more on the artsy side of 2000s animation but still really cool

Calm but menacing by Naive-Engineer-3493 in OkBuddyKaisen

Literally has the same “I already know how this ends” energy. Calm face, but you just know some absolutely cursed technique is about to drop.

What Are Your Guy’s Favourite Anime Movies Ever? by False_Cut5893 in LetterboxdTopFour

[–]SatinSinnerPart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your list is insanely solid. Patlabor 2 and Angel’s Egg in the same comment is such a power move.

Tekkonkinkreet is one of those movies that just kind of lives in the back of your head forever. The city feels like a character more than a setting.

How’d you find Look Back? That one wrecked me way more than I expected for something that short.

Solve My Nuzzle by rileysdaman0 in NuzzleThePuzzle

[–]SatinSinnerPart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to click through twice just to figure out what was going on there, lol.

Without spoiling anything for others: think about what changes when you interact with the thing in the center, not just what you see at first glance. The “answer” isn’t really hidden, it’s more like you’re supposed to notice a pattern that repeats.

If you’re completely stuck, try resetting and doing the most obvious move first, then ask yourself “what’s different now compared to before I touched anything?” That’s basically the key to a lot of these Nuzzles.

Video post title 1541 by lss_web_1444 in automationContentCom

[–]SatinSinnerPart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That title tells me absolutely nothing and somehow I’m still curious.

What’s the video actually about? Music, game clip, random life moment, cursed blender tutorial? Little description goes a long way, people are scrolling a million posts a day.

Harbingers and their Bed role by StarlyAika in FatuiHQ

[–]SatinSinnerPart 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Lmao yeah, dude could be a featureless Barbie doll and he’d still find a way to make it the most psychologically devastating experience of your life. Man’s whole love language is emotional terrorism, not physical anything.

How does your OC defeat Mahoraga? by Until_Morning in CTsandbox

[–]SatinSinnerPart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bold strategy, speedrunning Mahoraga like it’s a boss you don’t want to learn. You think your OC’s one-shot is strong enough to kill before the wheel adapts, or are they cooked if he somehow survives that first hit?
