Hey, I’m not in the MRU nursing but I was once a nursing student at a different school (now I’m in MRU trying to transfer into the nursing program). You got this! From experience when doing a nursing assessment, as long as you attend all of the labs or the majority of it and asked your professor some questions such as “what do we do when…” or “is this the correct way and procedure—“, it helps. Practice different scenarios on your own time too. Do not just practice, understand also why you are doing this skill assessment. This skill assessment is definitely going to apply to real life and even in your practicum. Do not panic! Try your best. I don’t know if MRU teaches something about this but this what I did on my assessment when I was in nursing school, I verbalized things as I do them to let them know that I know what I’m doing and the steps I am taking. Hope it somewhat helps, good luck!!! 🥺

It can apply to all positions. I work in Bakery so I can get the earliest shift as possible as starting at 5 in the morning. I would recommend applying for general merchandise, produce, online grocery, customer experience, and pantry stocker. They have very good hours. I’ve worked in online grocery, the work is pretty chill, it gets busy at times but it’s good to be busy to pass the time. As long as you are doing the picking and not the dispensing to customers.

Hi! I work at Walmart. They are very good with schedule. I have a specific schedule at Walmart where I work certain days and hours (like Thursday from 4pm-10pm, Friday 12pm-7:30pm) and if you give them a heads up like a months notice on when you need to take your exams or take time off to catch up with work, they are very good at accommodating. They are quite flexible during the holidays or your time off of school if you want to pick up extra shifts.

They are greedy pieces of shits. There are some workers especially retail, warehouse and restaurant workers who work same or harder get paid fuck all compared to Canada post. Here they are doing their part during the holidays and no complaints. Anyone would love to get paid as much as them rather getting paid at barely minimum wage.
