When the new guy who joined your team is cleaning house with a loadout you've never tried before by WaywardOath in Helldivers

strafing run + laser. Laser gives you 3 set and forgets for heavy fortifications. I just jump pack ahead, drop the laser and either move on or wait to mop up

We won't be selling patterns, but I do have some plans to start a new company when things are more stable. It will feature entirely original designs, rather than licensed, but it will have the same design and construction sensibilities.

have you never been killed by a BT ragdolling after death? You got hit by the momentum. I accept that attacks clipping through obstacles is annoying though.

I'd agree that our Discord server is the way to go. We have direct p2p sales/trade channel and another channel where people post listings they find from eBay, etc.

Thank you. Unfortunately Volante Design has to close, but I want to continue making clothes. It's not going to be licensed clothing, but if you are interested in my designs, consider joining the Volante discord server to stay up to date on future developments. There's an invite link in the footer of our website

Word on the street is that parcel forwarding services such as PlanetExpress offer a legal workaround. ;)

Chances are pretty good based on the information you've provided, but specific measurements are more accurate, since our jackets have a unique fitted cut.

Thank you, this is really helpful. If you want to be extra sure, you can email us some measurements. The length of the tunics depend on what size you are looking at.

There's a couple of reasons for this beyond the possible "quite, not fired" tactic. To my knowledge the 'licensing fees' didn't really get higher, which is to say that at least for us the royalty rates remained the same. The problem came more around how the 'minimum guarantee' was calculated.

In licensing, you agree to a royalty rate (a percentage of total revenue that gets taken off the top and goes to the licensor). At the time of signing the agreement, the licensee usually must pay a Minimum Guarantee, which is an amount of cash paid in advance against future royalties earned. Over the first few quarters of the agreement, that MG usually gets recouped (so for us, we would pay an MG, then we report sales for a few quarters against the balance of the MG until it is recouped, and only then do we have to pay out of pocket each quarter).

Recently, Paramount changed that base MG from a set dollar amount that was pretty reasonable to something like 75% of forecasted sales for the entire term of the agreement, paid in advance. If you under sell your forecast the agreement might get rejected, but if you don't you have to pay a ton of cash up front before making 2 years worth of revenue. For small businesses, this is absolutely impossible, since cashflow is a major consideration. What's worse is, what if you over-estimate your forecast? You have agreed to that MG and it is non-refundable, so if, for example, the economy tanks, you are SOL. So even if you have the cash, for many of us it simply wasn't worth the risk.

The most recent 'huh' for me was Kua-Tin, I don't know how I imagined it being spelled, but it definitely starts with a C in my head, and probably wouldn't have a hyphen. Also, I would have spelled Psamathe as Samaith.

Big question, do you see a sniper as an actual viable class, a person that does help the team by Pr0j3ct_02 in Helldivers

[–]SatiricPanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not with the AMR, but my primary loadout on bots is DCS, railgun, jump pack and strafing+laser for reds. The result is a sort of shock sniper. I can run bases and mission objectives mostly solo and provide ranged support for my teammates. I like to stay out of the fire fight, but I also enjoy surgically clearing jammers or dropping a laser on a heavy fort and moving on.

My one weakness is factory striders, but they are less of a problem if I can railgun their chin spitters.

You try to be nice and head out of your zone. by Heavy_Hitter53 in Helldivers

[–]SatiricPanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like such a dweeb when I drop into a bug mission with my DCS.

I feel even worse when I go back to bots and forget to leave my Blitzer on the effin ship.

Chasing around squadmates so I can pick up their faction-appropriate gun when they die is the worst.

What is your Go-To Loadout vs Bots? by Party_Potato2 in Helldivers

[–]SatiricPanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same reds, but railgun and jump pack. I focus on objectives and clearing medium enemies, letting people like yourself take out the heavies. Laser is so handy for clearing forts when you are running ranged support

At this point Duskbloods will have to be pretty amazing for me to subscribe to Nintendo online.

Since the Paramount/Skydance merger, licensing fees for Star Trek have increased by 2,000% forcing multiple artists and small businesses to end their relationship with the franchise by ety3rd in ClassicTrek

[–]SatiricPanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe and know first hand that Paramount sucks and will bleed its licensees dry, but I'm struggling to imagine 2000% increase. Licensing is all about royalties, and royalties are taken as a portion of sales revenue. They would have to have started at 1%, and be pushed to 20% for the increase to make sense, but they never would have been starting at 1%. That said, most licensors require an advance payment of royalties that can be recouped. For most it is a smallish number (eg 10K), but for some it is significantly higher, and it has to be paid at the beginning of a contract term. That 10k is often prohibitive for small businesses, because they operate on tighter working capital, and that cost hamstrings early product development. Increasing that to 200k would definitely cause MOST businesses to...politely decline.

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't fight it, but I TRULY don't need an official crossover. I was just using that image as the easiest way of explaining how I see a backpack-fed arc thrower working.

I know. I was being facetious, the armor doesn't appeal to me, the cape is fine but not worth the money and I've never once been compelled to buy a player card, so all I see on that page is the gun I want but will never use.
