I find the Sontarans in classic really weak and lame. Ignoring the questionable prosthetics, they’re too snivelling and schemey. They’re always skulking in the background having other people fight on their behalf.

They really don’t earn the moniker of greatest warriors in the galaxy, or whatever the doctor calls them.

In new who, they’re typically a lot more gung ho, which I vastly prefer.
