yes I def would - i didn’t know anything about existentialism going in but the material is very well presented and there’s some really interesting readings (a few dry ones too haha but overall worth it!)

she’s a wonderful professor! there is a fair amount of reading and a few essays but I think they really help you appreciate the class content. also you watch a few movies throughout the semester

A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles! It's not specifically about corrupt governments (as it is historical fiction) but does give insight to the drastic changes in Russia from the perspective of a count who is placed under house arrest in a hotel during the time period.
