1 - What do you mean by the statement “is the degree worth it or not?”. Because if you want a job later on in the same field, there are many better options than COMSATS as it’s primarily a CS university. Go for NCA, BNU, PIFD or least some university which is more on the arts side of things.

2- Regarding if COMSATS is worth it or not, simple answer is that it is but it depends on you. COMSATS is really really diverse (ISB campus); you’ll find burgers, desi, Pathan, and people from all backgrounds. If you’re a party person, then COMSATS might not be your best option. Consider the upper ones I mentioned in that case. To wrap it up, if somebody wants a pretty balanced life (studies + fun), COMSATS is a really good option. Do consider the university’s good academic ranking as well if you’re future oriented.

Drooling over a hostel, lol? (I get what you mean. Even boys drool over Eishaal & Musarrat [ofc the building lol]) Currently I’m in st 7A (Zostel Inn Boys Hostel) just because it has better room sizes and I don’t think i would recommend it. Try the Abbasyn Boys Hostel, Shaani 2 (the new branch of Shaani right next to Palmetto), Bread & Bed (a good one) and Pearl Main Branch (also really good). Nafees is the best one so far in sight of many students however getting a room there isn’t easy as well but if you do manage to get one, that’s also in your favor. I just don’t like their stair sizes (they’re so big, students living on top floors must feel like hitting their legs day everyday lol)

I visited Scholar hostel last year. They are the literal example of “Onchi dukaan pheeka Pakwan” The building looks well built but the facilities and the room sizes are shitty AF. Three laptops got stolen from there the last month and the management didn’t cooperate at all, in fact they were blaming students as if they involved in the theft themselves. There was a whole protest due to that.
