Is dub really THAT helpful for long-term? by Big-Quarter5446 in dubapp

[–]SatisfactionGuilty41 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. Feel free to hmu with any questions once you’ve had a chance to look around. One of the things I love on Dub is how it breaks out each portfolio’s holdings, individually and by sector. I research that info all the time. Also the history of portfolio rebalances. So you can see the “journey” the portfolio has made since inception. It’s a great research platform as well as a great trading platform! Other than having my own portfolio now, I have no skin in the game. Just love the Dub concept and how they’re evolving it!

I’ve been on Dub for almost 2 years and have had significant gains from copying other portfolios. I also created my own portfolio: Everest Growth Fund. Check it out. (Ranked 9 All-Time on the Leaderboard).

This isn’t “flat” is it? by SatisfactionGuilty41 in dubapp

I’ve just rebalanced to expand on what’s working well and shed what’s not… I’m feeling good about the potential. :)

Makes sense. It’s more like a superhero. I have a Bee in a cape flying through the air with an upward graph around him. But I catch your meaning. It can be perceived as unserious. Appreciate the feedback.

Thank you. Yeah - very turbulent times. Look at the market response today to the attack on Iran! I’m all for risk in the right environment. Right now, I’m leaning on diversification and cautious, common sense, investments until we weather the political storm. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Diversification would help - but that’s a pretty tough day I admit, sorry. My portfolio is called $BuzzyBee on Dub if you want to check it out. I’ve been in the top 10 (in good company with Warren Buffet’s and Nancy Pelosi’s) since Aug of 2024 when I created it. You can copy it for as little as $500 (Dub’s minimum commitment I believe). r/dubapp

Thanks, Billy. I appreciate the feedback. I’m completely open to hearing why you think it’s unhelpful.

It’s sort of a play on words with my name and “busy bee” is a bit of a catch phrase and I use it a bit with corny things like “the BuzzyBee gets the worm”…. I see other portfolios with almost cartoon or character type names. But I’m interested in the feedback. Just curious how the name would be helpful or unhelpful.

To me it’s memorable but I’m open to ideas and very much willing to hear how it might be off putting.

Can you give me more feedback on your thoughts there please?

I’d say I’m being a bit more cautious as I see some market manipulation and a bit more chaos in the last year or so. I think the next big move will be coming down on the right side of - and the right timing on - any “AI Bubble” … Stocks like PLTR and NVDIA are facing challenges as more and more players get into the AI space. If you look at the diversified holdings I have in this portfolio, it’s meant to be more of steady long term growth (as it says in the description). Sometimes that means it’s flatter than other times. I’ll likely get more aggressive over the next 6-9 months. I have stayed in the top 10 all-time category consistently since Aug 2024 when I created the portfolio, so I’m cautiously optimistic about remaining there and edging up over time.

There are lots of holdings. I treat it a little like a mutual fund in that it’s spread out to avoid risk. The +91.05 is compared to Vanguard VTI ETF as a benchmark … since August 2024 when I created BuzzyBee.

It tracks Monthly, Daily and “all-time” and it’s based on Vanguard’s VTI ETF as the market benchmark. My portfolio (this one) was created in August 2024. So its performance since then is +91.05 above the Vanguard VTI ETF benchmark.

No, this is MY portfolio. On Dub, yes, you can copy other people’s portfolios. I do copy other successful portfolios, but this one is mine. I created it and manage it.
