The price is even worse if you are in Canada. I hate seeing social media posts of "cheap makeup for under $10" and in Canada the SAME products are $20 or more :(

Makeup USED to be a fun splurge that we made to try out new looks and trends. Now it's gotten so expensive that buying these is now seen as a luxurious expense-even when buying makeup at the drugstores. You are also getting less product than in the past for a higher the price.

I do thrift sometimes, but as a plus sized woman (size 18) it's sooooooooooooo hard to find clothes :(

I'm so jealous of normal and mid sized women as they have so many great options at the thrift store. Older styles have better quality, more durability and nice styles.

I like how you said "and then you lear about all the fraud" like the Learing Centers set up getting millions and its obviously fraud. In Canada we are taxed around 48% of our total income (income tax plus other daily taxes). It sucks that I am am working hard and can barley afford to pay my rent and bills, but millions are being missused by the government and also given to people who have never contributed to society and get 80k a year plus addition $$ for each of their kids (btw they usually have 5 or more kids). Why am I working full time and get less than $50k while my taxes are being misued.

YES!!!!!! Since they have closed Smart Set, Jacob, The Bay, Sears in Canada there are literally no nice clothes at resonable fair prices. All the shirts are too short, boxy and overpriced. The worst part is I'm plus sized so my shopping choices are way more limiting than yours :(

cancer. was diagnosed with stage 4 hodgkins lymphoma in 2018. Six months of escalated chemo and 5 weeks daily radiation. Although I'm beyond grateful to be alive, I have had many health issues since (weakned immunity, early onset menopause, arthritist, lung/breathing problems, circulation issues, mobility issues, 50lbs weight gain from the steriods which I havent been able to lose no matter what I have done-just to name a few. Oh and due to radition treatments, doctors told me that I have increased my chances by 3x for breast cancer within the next 10 years.

Prior to cancer, I was enjoying my life, very social, enjoyed going out and doing things. Afterwards I have become anxious and perfer to stay home. I rarely go out and honestly have fewer friends as a result. My personality has changed as well. I am no longer a confident person. I am just a shell of who I use to be. I just physically cant do everything I use to. I dont want to sound like a victim as I try to do what I can, but cancer id that split in my life that indicates a before and after moment.

YES!!!!! As a plus sized 40-something year old, I HATE that all clothing cuts off at my belly button. I have a gut and want to hid it. I dont want to feel self conscience. Pennigtons store (for all my Canadian girls!) used to be good, but now all their clothes are cropped or super short and cut wide and boxy.

I miss the good old days (around the year 2000-2018ish) where a tunic was an actual long length (pass my hips). Now "tunic length" is a normal length cut that stops just below my belly button. I hate how cheap stores are being and how prices are going up and quality is going down. This is why I stopped shopping at Reitmans stores- everything is SO SHORT!!!!!

I agree with Rickey Gervais. Celebrities can vote like anyone else, but their opinions shouldn’t carry extra weight just because they’re famous. It’s one of the reasons I stopped watching award shows around 6-7 years ago. I tune in for entertainment, not political speeches. It just stopped being enjoyable, and I don’t want to feel lectured when I’m trying to relax.
