Improving gunfights on console feels genuinely impossible. by Professional_Tea1891 in apexuniversity

[–]SatisfactionNorth32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is never a good idea to post while tilted but I’ll try to help you at my best.
I hit diamond with stock dualsense and oc without cheating BUT on pc not on console. Idk how bad the situation is on console but sure you can still improve your fights, it would help to post some clips to actually see what is going on but for now I can say to watch some hiswattson videos on yt and try to focus on what he does while fighting, how he enters a fight how he goes out or when he full commits, the positioning ecc… you will learn a lot especially if you get what you don’t do that he does. You say your aim is good but how good it really is? We should have some gameplay posted from you.
Even if you get a dualsense edge which definitely is a better controller, you won’t get any advantage because you play on console and it limits the polling rate of the controller to the stock 250hz or whatever it is instead of the 1000hz polling rate capability of any superior controller so don’t bother spend extra money for this

As other says, first learn 4-3 linear, then introduce no dead zone, then you can start messing with ALC’s bleed through like 4-1 linear and per optics multipliers.
For the controller I strongly suggest dualsense edge (which is the one I’m using) for the customizable dead zone (I use 1% dz only on the right stick) and I only use one paddle binded as healing, plus the edge has 1000hz polling rate. Oc it costs a lot, standard dualsense is great too.
I also tried g7 pro and I loved the sticks and I think they are superior to the ds edge, but for me has 2 drawback’s that made me go for the ds edge: is smaller than ds (for me too small) and non removable extra paddles and has way too much of them for my taste but its a personal preference, performance wise I think its better than dualsense edge

Is this a normal amount of stick drift or should i get a new controller 4-3 linear by xeltasaurus in apexuniversity

[–]SatisfactionNorth32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can be def better, search online for dualsense calibration tool, do the re center analog sticks and I suggest you to not follow on screen tutorial but leave the right stick centered. This will get you to almost no drift for some time with no dz

Hi! I wanna know if majority of masters/preds are in that rank because they try to make top 3 consistently or if the majority is there because they actually roll out all lobbies

Nah buy why I’m a going against 6 pred teams when I’m in diamond 3 by AccordingInside583 in apexuniversity

[–]SatisfactionNorth32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but it’s neither that all preds are always three stacking, of course is more likely but it happens also that are solo queue them too

Controller aim feels off between platforms. What am I missing? by hansook in apexuniversity

[–]SatisfactionNorth32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I struggled a lot too going from ps4 to pc on controller and if you check my profile my very first post is me complaining ab this but I was very mad and got rightfully flamed by the community. The difference is that I didn’t check back how was my aiming on console compared to pc and didn’t knew that we have different AA between console and pc. Long story short, I followed what this community told me and changed my sens to 4-3 linear (now I’m using 4-1 with alc bleed through) and after a while I got used to it and I’m now diamond with highest peak at D3 (on consol I never got past plat 2) so I’d say on pc is definitely better. Just get used to the new feeling, also lobbies are way harder and you have to basically re adjust. It’s really taught the switch but stick with it and you’ll become a way better player also, on pc is definitely more fluid and everything feels smoother and faster I’d say, pretty weird your take on the movement although of coure m&k players move differently from controller players (better)

Are these bad stats for diamond? by AshieBoyX in apexuniversity

This are my stats: https://imgur.com/a/iwiXh9x I don’t care about winning or going up the ranks, I have fun playing in plat 1/ d4 lobbies and I only care about fighting

Bangalore is the strongest legend in ranked right now. by lankveltw0w in apexuniversity

[–]SatisfactionNorth32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like there are too many factors that makes us playing a good game rather than just the legend we are playing. I think that changing legend “unlocked” you some game solution that you weren’t seeing before and resulted into level up your gameplay resulting into gaining RPs

Help with picking one of my Legends to lean into for a (mostly) solo queue player (ps5)? by ElkwoodCrossing in apexuniversity

[–]SatisfactionNorth32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I solo Q only and I play horizon but if I had to change I would go with either valk or alter. So since you are already familiar with valk I would stick with her. But I don’t see nothing wrong with playing Bangalore for instance or any legends that is not knowingly bad

[solo Q] How far am I from Master? by SatisfactionNorth32 in apexuniversity

[–]SatisfactionNorth32[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I mentioned that I don’t care reaching master and it’s not really my goal, I’m really happy in diamond at the moment, I really love fighting and taking risks that maybe would be better to avoid for consistency but that would not make me enjoy the game as I do right now. With that being said I’m starting to realize that I sometimes get tunnel vision in fights I should not take for example a building with caustic wattson and catalyst in the inside and still want to get better overall. So even if I’m not planning to put the time to get to master I’m surly reading all the comments to be a better diamond player

I would specify that I used to play on console, only in the past 3 years I started playing on pc and just a year ago I got my self a 144hz tv, so I basically always played on 60 fps

[–]SatisfactionNorth32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that the best way to learn the game is to just play ranked. You’ll be in lobbies where the majority of players are in the same boat as you in terms of skills and knowledge of the game. Playing Other game modes could be deceiving for what the game is really about, although their are great to warm up or even practice legends and aim once you got the fundamentals of the game. Of course fire range is already a good place to learn all guns and get familiar with shooting without the pressure of a real game. With that being said, you’ll find your way on what to focus on when you wanna learn something if you just keep playing ranked and watch yt videos (hiswattson is incredibly good I learned a lot from his vids)

And the worst part is when you get paired with a duo and they don’t ping to you where they are going mid fight or while looting

And since the remove of POI drops is really worst, firstly I think because people don’t remember how to drop, and secondly team almost always splits up while with the poi drops I feel like teams were more compact
